The Tudor is a scratch magnet. The Tegmented Sinn will look new from years to come. The weak link for the Sinn is the crappy clasp. I have the Tudor Panda and want a Sinn U50. Love the 🐼, but also wanted the Tudor Pepsi...until the new Tudors were released...I really like the new GMT on strap over the Pepsi. If Sinn would fix their clasp, I wouldn't be in this predicament!
I expect an 80yr old won't be into sports models. It likely should have good contrast and time only unless his vision is really good. Something lumed may be interesting. Definitely more dressy and gold. Also...a strap over a bracelet as most older people will develop thinner skin that will be susceptible to sharper angles of a bracelet.
