Dress Watch on a NATO?!

I have a dress watch that means a lot to me, I'm trying different straps so I can wear it more often.

It reminds me of what I have and the journey required. Any other suggestions to make dress watches more agile to every day?

If you’re swapping straps daily, I’d highly recommend some straps with quick release spring bars. You can get some on Amazon for pretty cheap and you can test out what works.

Wear this or a similiar combo occasionally.

That dial 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The dirty dozen can be categorized as dress watches nowadays, I think as long as it is not a tonneau or square/rectangular dress watches, nato should work.

·

Put it on a blue Artem sailcloth with white stitching. That will make it wear nice and casual while still looking very smart.

·

Depends on the nato colour

·

Color today. Wear what you like. I’m getting on the bandwagon making. Here’s a two piece version.

Fantastic Watch ! Keep changing the strap and style every once in a while and you’ll be go to go !

I just went for a whole week while wearing only NATO straps with a diver's watch. It was really great to have the ability to swap the straps every morning based on my mood, the weather, outfit, etc. It just made my mornings easier and made the watch look like a new watch every day. 👌 I hope you find the best way that suits you.

Put the studio underdog on the NATO little bit more dressy for chrono. It works though.

That is brilliant. Multi colored NATO, draw the different colors out.

That weave of the strap with the dial is great, well done 👌

·

Check out Haveston, they have parade straps that go very good with dress watches

·

I think it looks great

For that gorgeous sophisticated face I would use a nicer NATO(maybe one with a pattern or stripe) or a basic leather band that dresses the face down a little bit but still retains an element of elegance or refinement.

·

Although I dont like natos, I do like your combination, because in my opinion your #hamilton is not a super dressy watch, if that makes any sense.

·

Confused, that's not a dress watch tho

Confused, that's not a dress watch tho

I guess I consider it a dress watch, maybe because it's the dressier than others in my collection.

Would you consider it more like a field watch?

Definitely dressier than it's original and reissue counterparts, but I'd consider it a sport watch still: date, lume, outer track are usually key elements in a sports watch design.

For dress watches on natos, check out @Lange.on.a.nato same tag on IG 😂

Depends on the watch and what we call/define as dress. I would not put my vintage IWC or UG on nato but don't judge anyone that would

·

Your watch may even work on a white rubber band. Or a rally style perforated leather strap, chestnut brown or light brown.

I would advise to try the style with a cheaper strap and if it works, buy a more expensive one. I'm pretty doubtful of those 200€ synthetic straps, the value may not be there.

Not a good look IMO

Agree on the rally/racing straps, this hammy definitely has an automotive vibe

Maybe I'm old fashion but a dress watch with a NATO strap, big nope for me.

Try leather straps with different colours and textures. Vintage style, alligator and such.

Dress and nato just don’t fit: what kind of an astronaut woul wear a tuxedo during a mission?

The James Bond type.
