Colors look really fresh. I'm excited about this one
I’m pretty cynical about ‘streetwear collaborations’ but I think this one is at least going to look great. My cynicism is more on what the price tag (pun?) looks like.

I saw his Talking Watches episode and I respect his success, but am flabbergasted anyone would pay $300 for a tee shirt. It’s a plane of existence I’ll never understand.

I’m sure it’s going to be close to the original size. But I’m sure it will be $1200+. I guess Breitling gets away with it with their Endurance Pro lol

I have a WK2116-1 and a WN1150. One is a 2000 Classic from 2004, and one is a 1999 Exclusive. One is an auto and the other is a quartz. I paid less than $600 a piece, and less than $400 for the Exclusive… and it has a solid 18k gold bezel… these are really slept on.

No kidding, and agree. Purchased sneakers from them with an attempt to return them and the customer service is atrocious. Have to wonder about sustainability of that.

Looking forward to seeing what this is all about. Looks like it's going to have the vibe of the original with the build and materials of the new ones. I'd be happy if it came in below £1000 but looking at both brands can't see it happening.

People will pay out the nose for quartz accuracy and not all quartz movements are created equal. The ones TH use, from what I’ve read, are good and meant to be serviced.

Most of my watches are quartz.
But, paying $1500USD for plastic and quartz? I am happy with my Casio or Timex quartz for under $200 USD.

Yes got to be wife approved. I have been looking a classic second hand formula ones and the wife isn't to keen but she does like the look of the new ones so who knows. Problem is the new ones are more than I want to pay right now. 🤦

It wasn’t a specific thing so much as it was the vibe—the sunglasses on, the parade of boring hype-watches, the name-dropping, etc. I was intrigued at the beginning when he pulled out the TAGs, but by the end it was clear even that was all just to set up his colab with the brand. This is the corner of the watch community that I just can’t hang with—rich dudes waitlist-hopping for status symbols and no passion beyond “I want it, you’re gonna get it for me.”
Oh, and he said the M1 was “designed by Lamborghini.” Maybe that’s what pushed me over the top ;)
