What speedy are you getting under $5k, an old reduced?
I think Tudor and Grand Seiko rule the market between $4-5k MSRP. Depends on what style you’re looking for.
If I was just starting a collection, I'd get a gently used Snowflake. That watch is super cool and very versatile.
But given I have three dressier/sport watches in my personal collection, right now for $5K I'd get a used Breitling B01 Chronomat. They are hard to find for under $5K (usually they go for around $5,500) but they can be found for under $5 in good condition if you are patient.
