Do You Wear Your Watch at Work?

Does anyone wear their expensive or most prized watches at work? It can be anyone but especially those with more high demand who could damage or dirty it. I don't necessarily have a high demand job but i do use an abrasive gel and strong glue at times which i remove my watch before (it's a pain to clean plus it's abrasive) but normal interactions with my patients i keep it on. I avoid bodily fluids but i don't baby them.

I wear my watches to work, but I'm a desk jockey, so the very worst that could happen to them is I spill some coffee on 'em!

·

Yes! So that I can keep track of lunch and coffee breaks!

All day, err day. 😎🤘🏻🤙🏻👌🏻

Yes, thus far, been only wearing watches that match the occasion and not concerned about damaging them.

I'm a Firefighter/Paramedic and I do not wear my more prized watches at work. Too much wear and tear. Even my Sinn models which could very easily take the abuse. This Casio Pathfinder has been with me close to 20 years or so.

I work from my home office, so I can wear anything at anytime.

I think for a job like a paramedic having a digital screen would be better than an analog display anyway. Love the picture with Special K and Roc, too😄

I was doing carpentry work at my last job & was limited to my G-shock. Now I'm working from home with the occasional office visit so my other pieces finally have wrist time.

·

Yes…all the time…

I wear all my watches to work. Most of the time I am behind a desk. There are a few tasks I do now and then I take off my watch and all jewelry to do as they pose a hazard to catch and cause injury.

·

Never go to work without.

They do go great together.

Whoa what watch is this?!

·

Since all my "expensive" watches are tool watches, I definitely wear them to my risky workspace sitting behind a computer in an Artic (well strong AC) environment. My grail hesalite Speedy is with me at work often.

·

Absolutely wear a watch at work but I'm a desk jockey so they are in no danger.

·

The only realist option for me is a F91-W or equivalent.

I'm a mechanic and I need to acess very small space, and I don't want to remove my watch every 5 minutes.

·

I do… but the thing is my most prized watches might not necessarily my most expensive watch.

Plus… as someone who works in an industry where people around me wear quite expensive watches a part of me prefer to wear my “fun” but cheaper price watches just to annoy my colleagues. 😆

Every day for me.

I wear all my watches to work, which is in a restaurant kitchen. I am not cooking but I am banging these things around in stainless steel shelves and getting a bit wet from time to time. Nothing too bad.

·

My watch is one of my tools at work. Yes, I do.

·

I have two Casio beaters that I wear just at work my job can get very dirty and nasty. But the end of the day wash them off and clean them out. Anything nice or high end save it for the weekend or orccation.

·

Sometimes the expensive ones, but the most time the cheapies.👍

·

Yes - but take them off when going to see patients (we have to be bare below the elbow when with our patients).

I also enjoy looking to see which watches my patients are wearing!

·

All of my watches are desk divers, whether they’re divers or not 😂

Thx. It's my WRUW for today.

This pic was for @benandwatch 's random picture thread from a few weeks ago. It's just kinda random-lol. Why is there a random sandal out here in the desert?.🤷🏻

I work from home and I wear a different watch for every meeting even though nobody will see it.

During lockdown I changed watches several times a day.

·

Yeah, I work in finance. I think a watch goes great with a suit. Funny enough, I have too many casual watches that don't work super well professionally lol.

·

Yes. I swap my watches daily and cover them with a sweatband if work gets a bit too rugged.

·

I drive a tractor trailer truck for work and wear my Sinn 104 matte everyday even through sleep and shower. Although I don't baby my watch it does have beauty marks that add character.
