For me I only have one solar/quartz watch in my rotation right now and it's the Tank Solarbeat :)
I would think he would want something that is close to his parent's watches. So it would be nice to narrow it down to styles that are close to your watches and show him a few online or in-store. I think sticking to Casio will give you plenty of options and would be "kid-friendly". As someone else said on this thread, let him experience the hunt and the "AD" experience! 😂
