Small wrist GMT suggestions?

Edit: Looks like the Glycine Airman 36 Purist in cream dial fits my bill. For work travels that require to be on the field and doesn't attract much attention. Now to look for one. The Farer and GS may be part of my collection someday. Thank you so much for the suggestions!

First post ever here. But been reading and learning a lot from this platform. I have skinny wrists so I do prefer watches that are below 40. Do you know GMTs that are on the smaller size?

I have skinny wrists too and wear a BBPro 39mm. Wear just fine and feels nice and solid with an excellent bracelet/clasp.

Grand Seiko Elegance GMTs (I particularly like the Shosho); Longines Spirit Zulu Time; Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT (Explorer II homage); Breitling Chronomat 40 GMT. I’ve got a 6.75” wrist and have tried on the above — they all fit nicely. I’m leaning toward the Shosho for the dial. The Shosho and Zulu are true-GMTs, the others are caller-GMTs.

Woah never thought about that since I always thought it would look very chunky on my wrist. Looks great on yours! If you don't mind me asking what size is your wrist?

The elegance GMTs are beautiful. I'll go check them out in a store soon. Shosho and shunbun are the ones calling out to me. Thanks for the input!

Steinhart 39 GMT is small, fit my 16cm wrist well, and is only around $600. Also, comes equipped with a Swiss SW330/2893

·

Farer have a 36mm gmt that looks great.

1. Open to any.

2. Automatic would be nice. But I'm not a purist. I own solar-quartz watches.

3. Stainless steel I feel would be best. As long as it's something that I can wear on travels and not worry too much about.

4. As long as it's not too loud. And I can read the time then all good.

5. No preference as long as it's not a blatant copy of certain brands.

39mm both fantastic value

Lorca Watches released a 37mm GMT in the last year => https://lorcawatches.com/products/model-no-1-gmt

There are so many out there. I honestly would suggest getting out there and trying some on. You’ll say 40mm is too big, but you will be surprised to see one brands 40mm is different from another.

What’s the thickness like, I’ve only tried the Pepsi and that thing is a thicc brick

I’m surprising myself here … but yes I’m recommending you look at San Martin! If you’re fine with the NH34 movement, this is a great place to start, they also have some more recent variants with world time bezels. I have the black one as there were just too many colours going on with the other one. I have small-ish wrists and I love mine and the tapering beads of rice bracelet. The clasp is quite large but does balance the watch well. If you’re looking for something at the more budget end, definitely worth a look. I have two other NH34 watches and this is the smallest and my favourite. Enjoy the search.

if you have interest in the nodus sector gmt, i have a catch and release near mint condition in the “metro” colorway that i’m interested in selling. beautiful watch, but looking to sell a few to fund another watch purchase.

Maybe they’ve got issues with all their bracelets as the titanium bracelet I got with their Leven II was terrible.

But their watches are fantastic and that’s the important bit.

Lots of brands do sadly but I just wanted the mesh look. Non tapering mesh doesn’t belong on smaller watches imo but the watch itself is a banger and I highly recommend. Wore it and nothing else in Rome for a week and didn’t once feel like I needed something else

My head went spinning! 🤣 Still haven't decided. Lots of options to consider means it's good to take my time shortening my list. Most cannot be tried on wrist in person, so doing lots of research on reviews, owner comments, etc. will be wise.

Hahaha seems like I have the same issue as you! Good luck to us!

I just released a couple of 37mm GMTs using Seiko's NH34! As a fellow small wristed person, my stuff tends to lean smaller these days.

That blue one looks really good!

I might be a little late for this, and it might sound ridiculous but hear me out....

I really recommend trying on the new seiko MM200 GMT..

On paper it has a ridiculous size (42mm dia. + 49 L2L) for small wrists (I fluctuate between 6 ~ 6.25) I genuinely scoffed at the AD when he offered me to try it on.

But!! The lug shape actually hugs your wrist really well and it just fits magically!

Thanks for this. I should really try it out! Digging the orange dial!

Just under 6.5 I think.

Late to this post, but this lovely piece works for me very well as a world timer/GMT alternative and has accompanied me to many business trips
