Cool collection! When I first got into watches I bought a bunch of casios and g shocks which are all still in the collection. I then acquired a Seiko 5, Omega Moonswatch, Hamilton Murph 38, and Rolex Sub within a year. I realistically have a two watch collection right now with the Murph and Sub vying for wrist time. That's why I'm agonizing what my next watch purchase will be because I only really wear 2 out of the 10 watches I own now. The G-Shocks got more wrist time while I was in the military, but I'm more of a desk guy now lol.
I have the Murph in 38mm and it's a versatile watch. I have worn it swimming and even in suits. The OEM leather strap that comes with it is pretty uncomfortable so I changed it out for something more comfortable. It's a strap monster and can go with every occasion.
I use TUNS for my leather straps and they’re quality straps without breaking the bank. They’re based in Vietnam and, to my knowledge, make every strap to order. They also can put your initials on the back of the strap without any additional charges and will give you a discount if you buy multiple straps. If you don’t mind waiting as it takes a while for them to make the straps, ship it, clear customs, and then delivered, they are the best bang for your buck. I have the Maya Brown Leather strap on my Hamilton and also have a Rally Maya Pine Green Racing Strap from TUNS.
Pretty cool that you were able to see it and try it on in person. Was looking to add the White Birch Hi-Beat to the collection next, but this new Birch Bark has me reconsidering.
