Looks like you're in the market for a more casual/conservative Hamilton. I submit my recommendation:

The Hamilton American Classic Spirit of Liberty

That's a great suggestion.

I’m about to buy a 38mm Murph. I think it’s a lot of watch for the money. I like it’s readability, its hands, and especially it’s straightforward design aesthetic and the size is my sweet spot. I’ve already bought an Uncle bracelet made for it, so I’ve definitely committed myself to adding it to my collection.

Interstellar is being re-released in theaters this fall!

·

Murph has an amazing dial

·

Maybe go vintage for the next one? There are so many amazing Hamiltons from the 50s-70s especially and it’s pretty easy to get a great one that’s affordable and reliable (just don’t make the same mistake I did and pick up one of the caliber 11 chronos…it’s a perfect watch in so many ways, but that movement was a nightmare to get working properly…)

I like the jazzmaster viewmatic. In person finish is really good.

Excellent suggestion. This next Hamilton I will be purchasing with an Amazon gift card though. Definitely something to research later.🍻

I am also a Hamilton fan! I own a Chronograph H. I’m super happy with it! Three years as my daily! I noticed that none of the above have a complication so I’d suggest the Chronograph H or its automatic version. If that’s not in the cards then the Khaki is a classic!

·

Any chance you would consider a Cooper? I would highly recommend it!

I will have to check it out. I love Chronographs so much and I have a lot of them. This next watch Is probably going to be between the $500-$1000 range from Amazon.

Fair! Chronographs for me are just the best! Simple concept but complex as it comes! I want a Speedmaster one day but I’m not in a hurry since I have my Hamilton and can say that if this is the only watch I was allowed to own I’d be happy!

I feel that way about my Ventura.

It’s a lovely watch! May it accompany you in good and bad!

The Murph is a solid choice because you can dress it up or down. But if you’ve got an eye for the Jazzmaster line, go with a day-date. Good symmetry with the complications being centered & a good size at 40mm.

Go For Option B as I have same like this one...😊

The Khaki Field Auto surprised me today. I got to try on the whole line and expected to like this one the least since I heard the lack of AR coating makes it look like you’re looking into a mirror. It really didn’t strike me that reflective and it was extremely legible for 38mm. It just fit well and is on my list of watches to add to the collection.

·

The Murph is my favorite watch. I love wearing it.

·

I love my Khaki Field "Murph". Very versatile piece in my collection. Cheers!

Lincoln - I would recommend this Jazzmaster that is out of production, if you can find one. It is stunning in the metal and on wrist. I have had serious collectors do a double-take when looking at it and are surprised it is a Hamilton.

I have seen dealers selling this watch for just under $2,000 now. Double it's original list price. I picked mine up brand new for a bit under $600.

Nothing against the Jazzmaster references, but I've always preferred their field watches, absolutely love my Khaki King

I am still warming up to field watches as well as G-Shocks. Probably a few years away from deciding on something. I definitely have a few models that I am attracted to and Hamilton has some really nice pieces. The Murph I could make an exception for!

I own this Jazzmaster Viewmatic. The photos don’t do it justice. I had no intention of purchasing this watch but saw it at an AD and immediationly was drawn to how the light plays off the indices and the pattern on the center of the dial. It’s one of my most worn and favorite watches in my collection.
