2 Tudor vs 1 Rolex Same Price

Not even close. Sure I want a Rolex, but I want a Rolex from when they were more like Tudor. Plus two watches…

It probably would be case-by-case basis. It depends which 2 Tudor and which Rolex actually…I guess I would choose the side that brings the most emotions to me.

I would say something like a BB58, GMT, or Pro and a non rotating bezel model (BB36, Prince, etc) vs a Sub, Explorer, OP or DJ.

You missed the same price part. Basically what combo would you rather have around or under $10k.

·

Rolex for the flex if security in social interactions is important but Tudor for common sense and the equal of any Rolex for quality.

Where is option 3, Buy a brand other than Rolex or Rolex light?

Just a random poll comparing two brands, nothing that serious

·

Option C: What would make you happier? Probably all 3 but pick the one that excites you most… its not an all or nothing game, you can think/work about getting the others later. Good luck.

Hmm…I would keep keep the Rolex if it were a Sub and choose the Tudors over Rolex if it were Explorer, OP or DJ.

Well in my real life situation I already went through with one of these options. I’m just curious how other people feel about it.

That’s fair. What makes you like the Sub over Tudors divers (BB58, Pelagos, etc)? What makes you like the Tudor options over the Explorer, OP and DJ?

Don’t get me wrong. I love the Explorer, OP and DJ. But to win me over TWO Tudors, my love for them is not deep enough 😂. But the SUB, it has a special place in my heart. May be because it was my wedding watch, or may be it has the best bezel action (for me), I could turn the bezel all day long. or may be its the classic design. But yeah…I would choose the sub over any two Tudors.

Have it tried the BB58? The bezel action might be just as good and it looks stunning!

Yes bro. I do have a piece that I recently acquired in my collection. And yes, it is absolutely stunning! And the bezel action is great! But I think the sub bezel is a tad smoother though.

Tired of the Rolex supply and AD B.S that is their current strategy. I own a Submariner (12460) and Air King (11690) and to be honest, having once been a Rolex fan-boy, I can now see so many more merits to other brands that Rolex are in serious risk of losing their loyal followers.

So in answer to the question, at the moment and because I don't have any Tudor in the collection, Tudor win out.

BB 36 & BB GMT Pro would be my choice.

·

Exactly my opinion. It doesn‘t help having two watches I don’t 100% like. I’d get rid of both in under a year with a loss. Better one watch that comes close to 100% satisfaction.

My problem with Tudor is the case shape and the snowflake hand. I had the GMT and it just didn’t look right. It has nothing to do with flex or common sense. If one doesn’t like the the design and proportions, why would one go for the „uglier“ watch?

·

Can I add one more option?  Or 65 Timex?  lol

·

If I am not thinking of investment value (and I never do because it's not like I'm ever going to sell or flip them), it's 2 Tudors or 2 of some other brands offering close to similar quality. We're spoiled for choice and I'm glad I'm not just a Rolex fan (because it would be very frustrating these days).

A Pelagos LHD and a BB58 Blue and I’d never lose a wink of sleep over it. Although the two-tone Explorer 1… Damn, maybe 1 wink.
