What is your favorite watch that's too big/small for you to actually own?

With a smaller wrist, there are quite a number of watches that I would absolutely love to own - such as the Omega Planet Ocean Oreo - but that I could never wear comfortably.

We all have experiences of watches that looked great, until we were spec'd out due to case size or shape.

What's your "if only" watch?

The Aqua Terra Worldtimer for me!

That's a great one. I suspect that omega is going to be mentioned quite a few times 😞

Tudor BB GMT in the opaline dial. 😢

Tudor BB GMT in the opaline dial. 😢

I know it's basic to complain about some of Tudor's case sizes, especially the GMTs, but 💯 it's "so close yet so far away" 😂

·

It’s this own , although I own it most of the times I go for another watch because it sometimes feels to small

Anything by Nomos, love their aesthetics and dials, but their long lugs just a deal killer - even on 36mm. If I ever get the chance to try on a Nomos in 36mm I might change my mind, but not worth the risk of acquiring not knowing.

Same - the Club Sport Petrol is on my short list, and the L2L *should* be good for me, but I'm sort of dreading getting it on wrist just to see my hopes dashed and burn up in flames 🔥😞

That would look great with a tuxedo, but definitely looks quite small otherwise, agreed

·

I grapple with the IWC Big Pilot ref. 5002 46mm every day. I love them so, but just don't know if I would like it/wear it long term.

That Nivada is absolutely NOT too small for you.

·

Mine would be the 44.5mm Omega Planet Ocean Goodplanet GMT. Being a Broncos fan, I love the orange and blue colorway and it was the first luxury watch I aspired to own. But I could never pull it off.

Seiko Arnie looks badass for big wrist. Small wrist like mine gonna be swallowed by it 😂

·

Omega seamaster 300 white dial.

That thing needs big hairy wrists 😅

·

Bulova Lunar Pilot. They made it smaller and it's still too big. 😞

Breitling Datora 15.3mm thick. I've got a 6.75" wrist.

·

Breitling avanger chrono. Wonderful, but too large for my wrist

I love this watch but, it's my only 36mm . I thought I would try something different but, I am on the fence due to the size. Most of my watches are 40mm to 44mm.

Plenty big enough. 40mm would be too big....

The Batman is probably my favourite

A $600 sea master?!?! How?!

A guy was selling off the piece but had no idea on the the authencity and etc. I saw the faded seconds tip and knew it was a gen 1 model. Went to meet up with him with a caseback opener and everything checks out. Told him it was an original but he still kept to his asking price. 😅

·

Ok, it's not too big, I just can't afford it at around $1000. Still one of my favorite looking watches.

Aragon DiveMaster Central Tourbillon with the Topaz bezel. Available in 45mm and 50mm (the one I want💪🏾) either the topaz or ceramic lumed bezel.

This one is the titanium damascus dial

Or this meteorite dial

Have you tried one ? The tuna case is a work of genius. I have a 50mm and it feels smaller than my 41mm Tudor black bay. You might be pleasantly surprised

Image

I’ve never tried one, but for my 6 inch wrist I don’t think it will suit me. But seeing it looks good on your wrist, my view changes a bit. Can’t wait to try it 😁

·

This Certina DS Action in 41mm. If this were 39mm I’d have already bought two.

Image

I really dig some of the U-boat models, but they from high 40s to mid 50 mm in size so yeah

·

My current watches range from 42-32mm, but this thing (49.5mm) is too big.😮 Shame, 'cos for me it's one of the best modern-looking divers out there.

Omega Speedmaster DSOTM Apollo 8, 44mm is a little big I feel.

Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Automatique, 45mm is definitely huge.

Rolex Sea-Dweller

James Bond's watch: The Omega Seamaster Professional 300... If only they would make it between 38 and 40mm... 😍🥲
