I can't take this watch off of my wrist

I've worn my Bel Canto every day since I finally got it a month ago, and the love affair doesn't look to end any time soon. At some point I'll need to do a proper review, but I simply adore this watch, to the point that the rest of my collection feels boring to me at this point.

Has anyone else ever made a purchase that you couldn't take off the wrist?

Very nice, that blue looks much better than CW's website photos

Very nice watch. Love the blue dial! Enjoy this gem!

·

Jeeeeeez with this dial!!

·

Waiting on mine...going crazy!

I like CW's emails, though. They've been interesting.

Love that color.

·

Congratulations. It's a unique watch!

(The irony of calling it unique and then posting a picture of mine in the same colour was unintentional....)

I’ve always come back to mixing it up. Great piece though.

·

Love that feeling! Enjoy it my friend 😊

Honestly, the photos are close, but the dial does change a bit depending on lighting. I've gotten *so many* compliments on this watch 😊

It's very much worth the wait. I was feeling the exact same way until it arrived! How much longer do you have?

It looks like a top down view of a well funded futuristic research facility in a pool of clean water.

Great watch but I can't be the only one that sees this. 🙂

Glad that you're enjoying the BC Jonathan.

Open worked watches have never really appealed to me - I'm proudly boring in my watch choices ... it's all black dials and toolish charm for me, for better or worse.

The recent 12X piqued my interest though.

I'd be interested in your thoughts. Are you going to pick one up, how does it compare to the BC etc., etc.?

Edit: ohh, and was it the sonnerie or the open worked aesthetic of the dial that attracted you to the watch … or both?

The CW twelve gave the same feel

·

Stunning, my favorite dial color

Honestly, I really like the X, although I'm thinking that I'm likely sized out of that one because of the integrated bracelet. I *really* like the F77 in titanium, but would probably go for the The Twelve Ti in the smaller sizing if I do. I own the PRX (like half of the world) in the original 40mm, but I don't love how it sits on the wrist with the lug spacing to the wrist. The F77 looks to have the same issue but not the Twelve.

I loved the idea of the BC when I first saw it, but also didn't think that it was "for me." But with every article or video that I saw about it, I found that I could t get it out of my head. I think that it was the style and the chime both. I never would have considered either as being something that I'd be interested in previously; now that I have it, I'm finding myself looking at more avant garde designs and "visually interesting" pieces. Everything else looks boring to me right now, tbh. It's wild how much this watch has changed my preferences in design!

Thanks - interesting read.

I think it's great that CW are creating these interestkng designs, especially the movements. Making watches in styles and with comps that are unattainable for most at an achievable price is big, especially as a independently owned British company.

I'm wondering if the 12X is getting under my skin like the BC got under yours?

Thanks for that!

FWIW, I do own a skeleton watch. It gets a ton of attention when I wear it, just like the BC does now. Skeletons are certainly an acquired taste, but I feel that if you love see-through casebacks on well-decorated movements, then a skeleton is an obvious choice in a collection.

I can also say that if the case finishing on the Twelve is anything like the BC (which I believe it is, based on a few reviews mzking the comparison), it's at a very, very high level indeed.

It looks like it - and I skimmed through a review a few days ago and it was waxing lyrical about the finishing, not bad considering they're working in Ti!

Enjoy your prolonged honeymoon in good health! The Bel Canto is decidedly not for me, but I know the feeling. I have been wearing the same watch (Wise Adamascus AD773) since last December and my Seestern S434 for more than 5 months before that.

Love me some Bel Canto!

Image

For me it’s become my special occasion watch, and that’s not that I wait for a special occasion to wear it, but every time I wear it it’s a special occasion.

I can say that it’s hard not to go for it every time I teach for a watch, but I definitely get a special enjoyment from having it on wrist.

I say keep on wearing it every day, just be sure to post your #wruw so we can all see it too!

That's really funny that you say that about special occasions, because I feel like I want to go to a formal gathering just so that I can wear this with a suit or some other such thing 😁
