What's the one watch you bought that you choose as your only watch?

My current collection, sans gifts, has all been purchased since June, 2023. Woke up this AM and was hit, once again, with the thought of selling them all off except one. Of those I have paid for, what is the one watch that is my favorite and that I would choose as my only watch? The contenders, now that I am more awake after my morning coffee, would be my Seiko SARB070 (a recent addition that has shocked me with my affection for it), my Sinn 556 IB and my Citizen NY0040 (my fourth version I have owned of this line). Of those, the Seiko is most comfortable to wear and is shockingly well done for the price but for overall utility and toughness, my original choice of the Sinn 556 IB wins. My current collection that I had to choose from: SINN 556 IB MONTA Noble Pink TRASKA Summiteer Black 36 DRYDEN Heartlander Black/Gold CASIO AE-1200WH-5AVCF SEIKO SRPE58K1 Two-tone WISE Adamascus AD15 24K Dial LE BERTUCCI A1R (Beater) SEIKO SARB070 CITIZEN NY0040-17L NEZUMI TONNERRE TQ2.602S WISE ADAMASCUS ADX120 GMT (incoming) CLEMENCE Munro Ridgeline (incoming) LORIER Astra Cosmic Blue (incoming) What's the one watch in your current collection (only of those you paid for) that is your choice? Oh, and I like French fries.

Monta Noble, it’s the most versatile watch I have. Dress up or down. 150m WR so it can take a little water. Sub 10mm thickness and on the fly microadjustment for perfect wearing experience.

Sorry, impossible to say… I hope I will never have to decide on this…

Oddly enough, if my Noble were the blue dial, it would be a contender. The pink dial LE is magnificent but as much as I love pastels, it couldn't be my only watch.

Owning the blue dial Sinn kept me from buying the Noble in blue.

Sometimes it pays to be a basic B like me 🤣

About six years ago, right after we bought our new home, my wife lost her job and was off work for almost three months.

I brought down a $28K collection to just a couple of watches to keep from having to go in debt. Oddly, I cannot recall what watches I kept, other than gifts. Whatever they were, they are long sold now.

Basic is under appreciated. 😉😂

Tell my boss that. Another story for another time.

I’d be happy with just the first three you listed.

I would keep my first serious purchase which is coincidentally my most expensive: BB58

Let me know if you ever want to sell the Monta 😉

Heart says SM300

Head says Aqua Terra

My BB54 would be my one watch

If the Noble was any other color than pink, it would be it. Pink is not great for an everyday. The Sinn is a contender, but I am not a fan of the "I". If it was the 556A, maybe. The one watch would be a toss-up between the Traska and the Dyden.

This took me a moment and a trip to the watch boxes but I went with the Fluess. Not sure why, just feel that it suits my personality. Ask me tomorrow and you'll probably get a different answer 😂

It has to be my Alpinist SPB197J1. The size, the dial, the movement and of course the water resistance at 200m Prospex Seiko. I’m still wondering if I need another watch🧐

I'm not falling for your tricks lol what do you mean by one watch??

36mm White dial OP

My most precious to me watches are gifts and inherited pieces.

That's why those are excluded from choosing, hence the bit about from those purchased.

I’m honestly split between 3. My Sinn 144, Black Bay 58 and Fears Archival.

·

My toughest watch Helm! It’s probably one of thee toughest watches! (my opinion) 🇺🇸

Formex Essence 39. The most versatile watch that fits perfectly with a suit and with shorts.

If the lume wasn't so terrible, my pagani design air king homage would be That One Watch I'd be happy with...

After I get my collection finished, I'm going to have to get into watch modding to see if I can't put together something that has all of what I like from that watch...

·

I might get roasted for this one, but it's the one I always reach for first. I've worn it to so many places and had so many experiences while wearing it that it's just a "no-brainer" for me.

Great watch that works at the beach or in the boardroom. Gave my white dialed model to my oldest daughter.

"After I get my collection finished..."

One of the greatest lies we tell ourselves. One of many.

I have a plan though. One watch box, 12 slots. That's the main collection. An older 6 slot watch box; which is where watch modding projects will go. And also a 4 slot watch box that holds my work watches, and is pretty much complete, barring failure or destruction of any of the watches inside it.

And of the main collection, I finally got the last watch in set 1, a full metal G-shock today. Set 1 and 2 are now complete, set 3 will probably take a year to finish, and then set 4 two or three years from now.

I'd really struggle to pick between my Air King and my Zulu Time.

I’d choose my speedmaster

It’s not the most expensive it’s not the first it’s just my favourite and we have been through a lot 😍

Its a hard choice for me as my most expensive, my first and my most practical are all valid contenders. For me it's my Wise ad7. My last and most expensive purchase. It's pretty much perfect for me

My orient golden eye was my first and its gorgeous but not something I wear on a daily basis

My casio is probably my most versatile and so would probably be my choice if not for the wise

The one watch that was a gift (brother), my TH Carrera Twin Time. It happens to be my most expensive watch so it's an easy call.
