Which bizarre logos, typefaces, or names have instantly put you off a certain brand's offerings?
Here are three I've seen recently. Some of these may be built really well, but I'd struggle to wear a 'BoboBird' on my wrist no matter how good the specs were.
Would love to see your wildest suggestions or if anyone actually likes those shown in the images. Perhaps the fact that some of these are so memorable actually means the branding is effective? 🤯

“IchiBunz“ some folks might say it’s weird but I think it will be AWEsoooome!!!! And the Logo would be this .. 🍑
Ball. hehe.
Ball. hehe.
I had to buy two !! 😉🍻
Specs-wise, I should be all over Christopher Ward, but I just can't.

Think I saw one of those with a new logo a while back - looks much better for sure. Never enjoyed the original one myself
Lots of people say they can't stand the Islander logo.
I personally don't think it is that bad, even if it does look more like an analog dial at 4:20 than a stylized lighthouse beam. 🤣 It hasn't kept me from adding a number of Islanders to my collection.
Astron, definitely.
I believe Frederique Constant needs rebranding. They have some great pieces though.
Lessee...
Phoibos. Name and logo. 🐙
Islander. Logo. 🕓
Crepas. Sounds like creep-ass 😆
Ralf Tech. RALF!
Selhor. Sounds like… Uh 🙄 well!
Borealis. I fell asleep looking at their logo.
Geckota. Terrible name and logo.
And watches with some dudes name on the dial. Thankfully Christopher Ward have sorted that out. Your move, Dan Henry lol! 😆👌
There’s probably a ton more I’ve forgotten about.
Worst one I've personally seen I'd Pagrne Design. Who came up with that?!
I'm sure if you dig deep though you'll find proper stupid ones like Bolex or summat
The little hat on the J in the Le Jour logo always makes me giggle.
I think I'd like this Geckota W-02 chronograph a lot more with a different brand name that didn't make me think of a Gecko.
Everyone in this thread reading making sure their favorite watch isn’t getting dunked on 🤞🤞
That Rolex crown is just silly.......
ball : because of the name
christoper ward : didnt like the logo, or logo placement in some of their model
exp
Astron, definitely.
Sometimes things get lost in translation
The Seiko quartz logo looks a bit like…
My ribs are hurting…😂
Here’s one.. Invicta
Gee I wonder which two brands I'm going to see a lot of in this thread lol
Fears.
There is (or at least was) a Chinese junk brand that was called Biden. It might have been BiDen?
One of my mates has a Biden watch - he gets appropriately roasted every time he whips it out. Not snobbiness, the watch is poorly named and legitimately terribly built, as if it came out of a Christmas cracker!
My worst watch names... here are some.
American Exchange.🙄
Biden, BoboBird, and Burei🤣
Feice, Fizili, George and Olevs🤯
Specs-wise, I should be all over Christopher Ward, but I just can't.
They’re a lot mor appealing now that they’ve moved their logo to 12 o’clock.
I believe Frederique Constant needs rebranding. They have some great pieces though.
They are just trying to keep it "constant" 😜 @rodeenski
I don't think that is gonna work in their favor. 😂

I would like to see the written name on the logo
I think Jody from JOMW has had a video about odd watch brand names a year or so ago
Oris and Christopher Ward.
Absolutely no reflection on the watches themselves as they both have great build quality, but Oris reminds me of “Anus“ and Christopher Ward sounds like the kind of guy you’d punch if you met him at a wedding. 🧐
Halios. I just see it and think 'Halitosis'.
I…I love those stupid lions. 😢
