Watches from Tissot

We have all seen the popularity of the Tissot PRX, some of us may even own one (myself included). However, do you like any other offerings from from the brand? I like their Heritage 1938 and the Heritage 1948 Chronograph. I think it's a great offering for the price. Anyone of you own any of their heritage collection watches?

These two are my favourite Tissot, the Gentleman Powermatic 80 and the Telemetre

Like the "le Locle"

Obviously that gorgeous chrono above, & the new cosc referenced in the OP.

Sorry, don't like the style of the PRX tho, & wouldn't have a powermatic 80 because of the plastic escapement.

Me, when it comes time to throw out the movement I'll just ask the watchmaker to swap it with an ETA 2824 or a drop-in movement.

1938 and telemeter line and also prx chronos 👌

·

The Gentleman is a great watch IMO.

·

Yup Telemeter 1938 Heritage is on my list. Lots of wonderful offerings from Tissot in addition to the ever ubiquitous PRX which I own and love also and would say is deserving of the hype but for sure there are still more models worth owning outside of the PRX lineup.

I like the no date open heart gentleman even better

I have the same salmon dial Heritage 1938, but I also have this Heritage Petite Seconde which I also love. Both are among my favorite watches. (I'm hoping to add that Telemeter someday.)

I love the petite seconde! But I want to try that large lug to lug before splashing out..

·

Hadn’t seen one before but looks really nice!

Yes, it is a larger watch, but such a beauty. I love wearing it.

·

Paul Michael Glaser wore an interesting one as Starsky.

Here's my favorite. Bought ~10 years ago.

I used to have their Bridgeport Silver that ran on an ETA 2892A movement. Verry stay piece, now sold off.

These are the two Tissot watch I would consider. From what I can tell they represent good value for the money.

·

With Tissot I usually like the watch at first glance, but then find something about the design I don't like. It's probably that in the continuum of established to edge designs, Tissot errs of the on the safe side most of the time. This is probably why the only Tissot I own is the PRX.

·

I have not collected vintage for decades but vintage Tissot would be a worthy collection.

·

I actually just ordered the heritage 1938 with the salmon dial. I have an Ice Blue PRX already and just sold my Titanium T-Classic to make room for the 1938.

·

Yes, I’ve been looking at that chronograph for a while. It’s very handsome.

I have the small seconds version of that. Such an awesome watch.

·

I Have the PR100 Powermatic 80, 35mm dial. It's a great watch. And my Seastar is one of my all-time favorites. I find their Heritage Chronometer very tempting and a geat price for the specs.

Handled these in the store- the details seemed refined and they looked great. For me I think it would be a question of how much under retail you could get it for as the asking price has some really strong competition imo

·

I have the salmon dial Heritage 1938. Great piece, COSC-certified movement.

·

Older Tissot and still my go-to Dress watch.

I’m a fan of the Chemin des Tourelles Chronometer

·

This new model is really imressive - also a chronometer cerification at this price point! 😇

However i own a seastar 1000 and really like this one!

Also own a older T-Touch model.

Also the 35mm PRX with the white dial is intresting to me - but after owning 2 Tissot‘s, i think its time to level up a little bit and look to different brands like B&M or Tudor

Beautiful Watch - I was seduced - Not quite that vintage still - My take Tissot 1853, Say hello to mine "Little Patina", now getting on like me! Found in a small watch shop in Asia, begged me for a home back in Europe. She wanted my ❤️ (sorry about late post long day, Patina was so glad to see me!).
