Which version of the gold PRX looks better in your opinion?

Waffle dial

The quartz one. It's cleaner. I prefer that look.

·

Textured dial. These watches are very boring without the waffle dial

·

Waffle dial for the win.

·

The bracelet is definitely the best looking part of the watch lol

·

I would say the waffle dial because i think that this is what a PRX makes a PRX. I thought first the first picture was an vc 222

·

Quartz. Also this needs a poll.

·

The 40mm quartz gold variant has a nice faded gold tone dial with vertically brushed finish. The 35mm variant just has a subtle sunburst gold dial which just looks quite meh in person. Definitely the waffle dial if you are going for the 35mm gold variant.

HHa yes couldn’t figure out how to do it

·

Waffle dial automatic

Digital!

Of the two you listed, I would go quartz. Let the color do the talking.

·

Powermatic 80 for certain. Great movement for the price.

·

Quartz. The automatic is expensive for a movement that cannot be properly regulated

·

Textured

The only thing I feel when I see a totally yellow gold watch of any brand is that I have been thrown back into the 80's. This isn't a good thing as the 80's hold few memories for me, perhaps because of the lifestyle I led in the 80's. Uugh.

That said the total smooth finish of the quartz somehow gets my attention. There, I said it. I prefer a quartz watch (well the look anyways)! I am no less a man for that, lol.

·

Auto but both look good. Quartz looks slightly better on bracelet, Auto suits rubber straps better imo

I have always preferred the sunburst quartz dials

·

None 🙈. Sorry, I don't like the 70th brutalist style of the PRX, I hate bracelets, more so integrated ones, and I don't like gold. Soooo, this watch combines everything I don't care for.

That asside I don't trust the Powermatic 80 movement of the PRX with its plastic parts and because some watchmakers pointed out that this movement has no option to be regulated in case something would have happened to the watch. So I honestly would opt for quartz and for the cleaner look.

·

I'd always go with the Auto in the case of the PRX since ALL models I had of the Quarz didn't hit the markers properly (sometimes not even close).

And please, please, PLEASE: The Powermatic 80 IS possible to regulate. Whoever says that it can't be just doesn't want or know how to do it.

·

On the steel I like both but swing more to the auto looks wise. On the gold bracelt imo the quartz looks way better

·

Definitely quartz!

I think the waffle dial looks better in a stainless steel finish

·

Automatic all day!

·

Quartz because it’s more in tune with the original

·

🧇

·

The Quartz. It's not got a plastic movement that is near impossible to repair.

·

Typically I’d say waffle dial.Sorry I’m no help. They both look good.

No, it can be regulated. There are screw weights in the balance wheel

·

The more I’m looking at the waffle dial on the gold….the more I’m liking it. But i love the clean look of the quartz. I want to try one on soon.

The quartz is the best value for money one tho

Nah, i wouldn’t call this brutalist. It’s too sleek for Brutalism.
