Yeah we’ve been like this for awhile. No civi gps or free signals on training, EX or operations. So garmin kind of had to figure that out and the features are a emergency use thing. As they should be because we are issued with crypto protected gps and trained heavily on the other things that give no signal.
In saying that these garmins work in case of military emergency, they work during recreation and they are great fitness trackers for the garrison time.
