Very elegant but I'd take a thinner BB Pro over this.

Yes I think you made the right choice. That OP is unique with such a rich and mesmerizing dial. The size is also perfect on your wrist. The Explorer is a classic for a reason but I would probably get bored of the plain black dial after a while, so if you have had some time with it and enjoyed it, moving to that unique and beautiful OP is a great idea.

IMO it's one of the best looking watches ever made

Found it a bit bulky (on a Nato), and I realised I just don't like the dive aesthetic personally.

I prefer the look of the Bulova, and dig the independent hour setting, but I agree with @foghorn that the second hand and GMT hand are easy to confuse. However I'd still probably go for the Bulova. The design is much more my style than the SRPD (I had a 5KX but sold it).

Isn't the Bulova a travel GMT? I thought it used the Miyota 9075

This is a great point. My nicest watch is an Alpinist, and I have been wearing it almost every day since I got it a year ago. But J do get bored of it and start wondering how i can top it. But I've just been away for a week and worn a cheaper watch throughout, so I'm sure seeing the alpinist will feel very fresh

Aesthetically I prefer the CW's rich emerald green dial, and I'm not super bothered about having a rotating dive bezel, but I'm wondering if Oris build quality or finishing are regarded as better. Cas...
