For me: first thing is ascetic appeal. Then I check the price to determine if it is in my comfort zone. Third, I look at the specifications and determine if the first two categories are in line with specifications and quality on offer.
I agree and like you, it depends on the price. I'm struggling to spend a $1,000.00+ on a watch I have never had my hands on. Some are now $2,000.00+ and I am really struggling with that. I bought one last month that looked a lot better online than it does in person. At $400.00, I can live with that but once we get into thousands, I think I want to see it in person before spending my money. With that said, Microbrands are doing some amazing things. I honestly believe we live in a wonderful time, where we can have both Heritage and/or Microbrands.
