The last day of my holiday in Carmarthenshire, and (rather shamefully) my first time reading the Mabinogion
I bought the Black/Bruce Grape/Wayne version last week to celebrate a promotion — such a gorgeous watch at this price point! Love to see other people enjoying it as much a I enjoy mine 😊
They're actually raised bumps — the acrylic dome hinges open and you can tell the time by feel alone if you're blind 🙂
I have a few watch mods, and I'm planning my next. I personally have only made mods that don't look *exactly* like watches made by other companies, but that's mainly a question of taste, and actually the one I'm planning is the closest copy I can make of a Royal Navy dive supervisor's watch from the 60s — the only thing I really don't like is watch mods built with dials with company logos. For me, at that point (even if no company ever released a watch with "Seiko Oyster Perpetual, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" on the dial), they become outright fakes and I wouldn't want one. But even then, I suppose if it's for personal use and nobody's getting defrauded, I can't really articulate a reason why it shouldn't be done. Enjoy your mod!
