My first SOTC..

My current collection-

Bought my first watch (SMP) in 2021 followed by the Tudor last Christmas. The Santos came shortly after in Jan of this year and last month I picked up the Datejust.

Where would YOU go from here? Please don’t reply “it’s upto you” 🤦🏻‍♂️ Just humour me, if this was your set where would you look to next? I have a couple in mind myself but I’m trying to not buy right now and just enjoy these for a while..

PS - I’ve noticed my BBPro is getting very little wrist time lately and I’m willing to listen to offers if anyone is interested in buying a very lightly used, good as new Tudor Black Bay Pro. Feel free to message me..

Excellent choices!

Great watches! I can see from the photos that you actually wear your watches and do things with them. Kudos to you!

·

My mind immediately goes to Grand Seiko as the missing piece to a collection in this price category. But you already have the dressy side covered and I'm not a fan of their sport models. Sell the Tudor for a 44GS GMT or the Rolex for a Shunbun? 😜

·

Some great watches. You look to have a healthy amount of budget. How about moving even more upscale to a JLC, H Moser or Vacheron Constantine? Sell the Black Bay and get a flagship piece.

·

I’d suggest three… 2 considering you’re missing a chrono and one because it’s awesome! Beautiful DJ btw… I’ve got the identical watch. What a stunner!

Breitling Premier in Pistachio (cuz that’s the one I like 😂)

Omega Speedmaster Professional Sapphire Sandwich (I own this watch… it’s amazing)

Image

Panerai PAM1294 Radiomir Quaranta (I just picked this up… it’s taken over my watch box)

Happy Hunting!

I’m thinking ditch the Tudor and grab a Breguet Type 20.

·

I’d enjoy those for the next couple years … (maybe pick up an inexpensive one here and there to scratch any buying itch) and save for something BIG. Like a VC Overseas or something. you’ve got a lot in a short time so enjoy them.

Also, how did you get the DJ? Retail?

·

I’d go independent. Maybe a Sartory Billard or Laine?

·

I go for a blue dial. Maybe a JLC master ultra thin or a Grand Seiko peacock. Nice collection. Just my thought.

À chronograph. Any of the colourful ones from tag that just came out are solid modern picks

The DJ isn’t going anywhere.. I’m yet to find a GS that’s tempted ne enough. Came close with the sea of clouds but something held me back 🤷🏻‍♂️

Strong options. I really did want the Speedy but all the price increases in the last 12 months it so has put me off.

You’re right. The DJ is one of the most eye catching watches I’ve seen.

Had to Google the breguet. That’s a great choice for the future. I’ll need to look into it more.

I was thinking the same thing today. I visited AP and found this chrono

The Rolex I got from my AD at retail. I went and sat down with my SA after months of not visiting. We had a good chat for about an hour. Talked watches, cars, holidays, family etc. I’ve had a positive experience every time I visit which is why I feel bad for people who complain about their AD/Rolex experience.

Anyway 2 weeks later he emailed me the watch was in! Now I’m waiting for a GMT II from him but he has warned me it may take a little longer.

Thank you. I don’t know why but JLC just always feels like an older or let’s say more mature gents watch to me. I actually went in the boutique yesterday and the watches didn’t appeal to me.

I’ve also tried to find the right GS for me, but the bracelets don’t feel right. I came close to buying the Sea of Clouds I think it’s called.

I get it. It's not easy picking out watches. Just to be fair I don't have a JLC or a GS. It's was really the blue I thought you needed and I still do. There're lots of other great brands with great looking blue dials. GO has a few, so does IWC and Omega. Good luck finding your watch. Let me know what you pick out.

Not gonna specify but maybe a chrono?
