Next watch?

I think this has a lot to offer with the dial and complications. This is on my short lot for next big watch. Might still go with Omega AT blue dial with the light blue seconds hand. Close call.

Salmon dials are 🔥

You have to make it up to District Time my friend

·

I take this over the omega everyday 😁

·

Would prefer this

·

This is an absolutely stunning watch

·

It complicated <groan> Salmon dial for the win, IMHO

Id go Aqua Terra, this is less versatile and servicing will be a nightmare!

Can only speak from my own experience but omega is a) more expensive to service and b) don’t wanna service older watches where I am, but no issues with breitling. One of the reasons why I wouldn’t even take an omega for free; is the service after warranty.

This is beautiful 👌🏻

How’s the thickness and size in general?

Got my Seamaster serviced recently, & was pricey at £490 & 3 months, but I'm sure a chronograph would be much more !!

Good choices! Pretty different watches, for sure. I’ve looked at this watch at an AD, I think it should be pretty standard to get a 10% discount. Might be able to ask for more. Still a step up in price from an AT, but worth it I think! Beautiful watch for sure, looks good on your wrist ✌️

Was ready to pull the trigger on a JLC triple calendar moonphase until I reflected on servicing my watches, I have a lovely relationship with the Toronto service centre for Breitling so picked up this watch last December.

Glad to hear that for you. Here omega charges more than rolex for a service, other countries other prices. The breitling chronograph service here cost:

15.3mm . I wanted to know myself so just went and looked it up 😜

They’ve killed it with this premier range. Really good looking pieces.

Buy it 🥂

·

Good looking watch.

·

Beautiful 😍

·

This is a fraction of the price of a patek but with a bucket load of quality that puts most watches in it’s price bracket to shame. Plus it’s gorgeous. Big and bold but beautiful.

Blimey, that's good. Can't fault your choice, a Breitling is a beautiful watch but pricing here puts it out of my financial reach. 🍻

·

Gorgeous. I'd take that over the Omega.

My other option is IWC green dial either Portugieser or Big Pilot 43. Ideally I'd buy all 3 haha

IWC is another brand I often look at but have never pulled the trigger on. The ones I most want don’t really fit my wrist so it might just not be in the cards for me 😆but, another great choice!

·

I was targeting this watch before I settled on the JLC. The dial is gorgeous but alas it was too thick for me wrist.

·

Both are great choices, but are very different watches. I personally think of my AT as more of a GADA type watch. but something like the Breitling would, at least for me, but more of a dress watch, that would probably get less wrist time. So I think it's all bout what you are looking for right now. YMMV. Good luck with your decision.

·

This is a great looking watch. Breitling are doing good things lately and have some real beauties in their current catalog. Seem to have gone away from the big ‘blingy’ watches and are drawing on their old classic designs
