Tudor tool???

So while on holiday I wore my recently acquired Pelagos Black…

Went for a couple of swims… and this happened!
It is apparently a known fault… wish I’d known! The watch is still under warranty so it should be repaired/replaced

Anyone else had the same problem?
What do you think of this supposed ‘tool’ watch…

Exactly that… 😳

Buy vintage. They are already broken.

·

Wait until night time and go looking for the markers.  You should see them glowing in the sand.

They now on a beach in Italy forever… 🤣

"Grandpa, why do they call it Tudor Beach?"

I have many broken vintage watches.. this one was supposed to be the one i could be Born to Dare in… 😂

·

That would be very disappointing, particularly since Tudor sells the Pelagos as a tool watch.

"Grandpa, why do they call it Tudor Beach?"

If you go there on a dark night…🤣

To be fair… this is apparently a known manufacturer error, that has been repaired before for other owners I have spoken to.
I’m taking it to a Tudor AD tomorrow…

I’m fairly sure it will be fixed… as it’s still under warranty….tho I did message Tudor via Instagram but got no response.

·

wow I totally did not know this was a known issue. Gives me re-assurance about not pulling the trigger on the LHD

·

Wow, I’d be pissed. This is quite the design flaw from a tool watch point of view. My Oris Aquis took 3 years of constant use and abuse and it took that very well. The markers are engraved into a ceramic bezel insert if I am not mistaken. Tudor should do the same here.

Good that you’re within the warranty! I hope they replace it without any further hassle for you.

·

I have finger and toes crossed….😂

Switched over to my Vanuatu for today: it’s sprinkling a little and I don’t want to get my Pelagos wet!😆

😂😂😂

'But sir, looks like there was a Monsoo that hit Hong Kong.'. That AD might as well try to use that excuse to weasel out of a warranty coverage.  Hopefully Tudor SC will be more honorable and cover it.  But one thing for certain: I wouldn't even buy a watch battery from that AD in the future if I were you.  They showed their true colors. Good luck.

·

Thanks mate…🙏🏼 I feel the same way.

Keep in mind that the modern AD is nothing more than a go between.  Once a watch sale is made, all other considerations are between you and the manufacturer.  They should keep their mouth shut and send it on to the manufacturer because their opinion counts for exactly 0.  I miss the days when they would have looked at it, told you to go get a coffee and come back in an hour and they would have taken it in the back and popped on a service bezel no sweat.  Rolex was the one who really started this trend back in the 90s and everyone else has followed suit because they realized that servicing was a profitable cost center for them.  It is a shame.  Now the only relationship you can have with the AD is spending money.

I feel that they were blaming me for wearing my watch in the ocean and for using as it was intended… I specifically purchased the Pelagos for its toughness and water resistance.
As Ive said before I’m remaining positive that Tudor will repair/replace the bezel.

Fingers crossed…

Tudor should definitely sort it.  It is a known and pretty well documented problem with some of the bezels.

·

Yeah I’m hopeful it will get sorted…

·

Do they send them back to Tudor HQ in Switzerland or is there a local service centre?

Problem with the whole process is you can't really speak to Tudor directly about it. Keen to hear how it turns out. Hope they sort it for you.

·

It’s a month since I left it with AD,

not heard anything at all from the AD or Tudor…

I will of course let you know.

Happy to report…Tudor came though, and in what seems like record time. Replaced the whole bezel and even gave it a clean.
Faith restored In humanity and Tudor.

·

Great string WCs -- in the future, just send it directly to an RSC and skip the go between (AD). Faster, better service, IMO.

I’ve recently joined here and just posted due to having the same issues. Fixed the first problem, same as you. Now back because the 5 in the 50 partially broke off. 🤷🏻‍♂️
