I chose this watch from North Edge, a solar watch. It's a relatively recent purchase, hadn't seen much wrist time yet, so... Originally, I wanted my first solar to be a Citizen - and ordered one. But: I ordered from jomashop, and "subject to availability" meant that 3 months on no solar Citizen for me, and the North Edge was one of only a couple of solar Options on Ali, so it stepped in to fill that gap.
I went with my Bertucci. Itโs titanium so light weight, I can change to other NATO straps so I can change it up a bit and itโs my newest so Iโd be getting a lot of use out of it anyway.ย
my watch was chosen for me!! Cuz I โค๏ธ Me a challenge within a challenge!! the watch chosen was my Seiko 5 x Bait collab Astro Boy in all black with a face lume (faint but still lume)โฆ
I was going to choose my SPB143 but here we areโฆBring it !! ๐ช๐
I just couldn't do it! I respect you all for trying, but I am afraid after wearing only one watch for a month, I would wind up like this.
I also had my watch chosen for me by someone who will remain nameless. I donโt want them to be embarrassed when they loose.ย
They chose my new Direnzo that I just received, that was definitely a mistake, I love my new watch ๐คฃ๐๐ญ
I chose my first watch from when i was twelve, a Fossil blue, by accident. I didn't realize the challenge had started lol
I chose a 1966 Mido Ocean Star. It is a versatile vintage piece that can dress up and dress down. It is an old style skin diver, although I wouldnโt test it after over 50 years. After having it on various leather straps I put it on a bracelet. It has always gotten more wear than my other watches.
I am not as committed to this contest as you might think. I would be surprised if I can last a week.
My gorgeous Seiko 5. Chosen by my fellow competitors and our grand wizard. I almost feel sorry for the rest of you.
Went with the favorite in my collection, a simple ISL-40 field watch. I can swim with it and dress it up in leather if I have to. It has lume, and a date comp which is all I need. And this lamp.

Nice watch!
Thatโs a great watch and Iโm jealous. That said, Iโd have trouble wearing something that pricy all the time. Good luck to you.ย
Itโs funny how this watch is perceived now. ย I bought it new at a discount because nobody wanted them back then. ย ย
ย
I get that any Rolex can be considered pricey by most even at MSRP. ย Iโm not a rich guy but my kids are grown adults and I now spend a disproportionate amount of my income on watches. ย If Iโm going to commit to spending this much on a watch, itโs going to get worn. ย
To put it another way, I feel better wearing this watch than having such an expensive watch sit in a safe or safety deposit box never to be seen. ย The value is in the wearing, not the simple possession.ย
I picked my MACV-SOG heritage seiko since the guys who wore them originally would wear them for days at a time in all conditions. Got to do them justice at any challenge.
good luck sir. is that watch from the war era?
I may have mentioned that I just received my holy grail watch the day before this challenge began. ย I may not have worn it 24/7 for 30 days under other circumstances but I have enjoyed every second of this work of art on my wrist so far.
new watch for this challenge? excellent sir ๐๐ป๐๐ป
I didn't know the game was on, a bit busy over the past week. However, I had my old Solvil et Titus (Datejust homage) on since 8 June ... Guess I am in the running still? Will see how long will I last.ย
im not familiar with this brand. is it swiss?

Used to be Swiss but owned by a Hong Kong company for several decades now.
Funnily enough it would be a watch I don't current own.ย
Seiko SPB155.ย
200m water resistance.ย
6r35 movement
Sapphire
38mm case
Brilliant bracelet
Might change once I own the damn thing but as of now, it looks to be the best do it all'er ๐

I must say (or write) as after checking more and more reviews of this beauty my Hammy is getting jealous ;)
I chose my pelagos.
It can go anywhere and do anything.
I chose my Tudor BBB since I knew I needed something I could wear while working on the house, plus I have 8 different straps for it ๐

I have a date just Iโm careful with, but I agree. I wonโt buy a watch I canโt wear or a car I canโt drive.ย
ย
My thing with Rolex these days is that there are several I would like, but I wonโt buy any until I can get one for list price. Love the product, but thereโs no value there right now.ย
Went with this, I have been doing this "experiment" for a while now, still not bored of this watch.ย
