Ngl, as an owner of sbgx065 I was a bit let down, it felt much smaller than 37mm (way too small I'd even say) and didn't really feel like it justified it's pricetag. Hope this info and pictures help some people with deciding. ๐

I think the proportions look good on your wrist. I have the same wrist size as you and daily a 36mm Rolex OP

Thanks ๐ tbh, I had a 36mm Tudor oyster prince date day and now have 37mm GS SBGX065. But I think that because of how empty the dial is, it comes off as smaller or does some trickery with my eyes ๐ , because it really felt smaller in person.
The SBGX355 has a titanium case and bracelet while the 261, 263, 265 and their predecessors are all steel. As OP says, theyโre small quartz watches at 37 mm, so the titanium one must feel extremely light in the wrist. I can understand that many wonโt be comfortable with that. Iโd love to try it by myself though.
The titanium construction and the snowflake dial add about $1400 to the retail price by the way.

Perhaps if you get a chance you should look at the SBGH311. Same 37mm, has a little more going on with the dial, and has a little more heft since itโs not quartz. I tried it on the other day and if itโs still available at the time Iโm looking for another watch, thisโll be my next buy

Yeah that's probably part of the feeling (love the titanium on SBGA415G and 413G). But probably also because my sbgx065 has double logo and sunburst dial, so it makes it optically bigger.
For reference in Taiwan after discount and tax refund it will end up costing almost exactly 3000usd.
For me, I'd stick with the original. It wears like a dream (for me and my 7" wrist) and I love the Spring Drive movement. This is a nice alternative, but they aren't speaking to me with this model.
Seiko really needs to name their watches better. I have no idea what models youโre talking about because Iโm not a Seiko fanatic and do not have the numbers memorized
I think "baby snowflake" should be the new name. :)

Huh, interesting. I have a Tudor 76200 and an SBGX295, both silver dials. I always thought they are about the same size and if anything the Seiko feels more substantial due to the weight. Maybe it was the lighter titanium that threw it off?
I find the size and proportions look ideal on your wrist ๐๐ผ

Good point, things like BMW cars easy to know which vehicle/size. Still from Seiko 4R 5R 6R etc (not sure on GS numbering system - luckily watch nerds exist outside WC's (excuse pun) https://www.plus9time.com/blog/2021/2/24/grand-seiko-model-numbers-explained
This looks lovely and in the shots you've posted the size looks spot on to me but we all know that watches tend to appear larger in wrist shots. I had a similar experience trying on an SBGX261. I was so convinced walking I'm that I would be walking out with that watch. But it looked almost comically slight on my wrist. Most of my watches are 37-38mm but something about GS models in this diameter (I think the 18mm lug widths on their smaller models are a big part of this) did not work for me.
This is an amazing fit. Wow
It does look great on your wrist in the pic but most importantly is how it looks and feels to you
And I am wearing the big brother original today. So light on the wrist
This model perfectly shows me that my initial wish of the Power Reserve Indicator being on the back of my SBGA211 was not only baseless but also it wouldโve made the dial more bland.
Happy now that itโs on the dial (and the usefulness is not to be dismissed, let me tell you).

Wow, that's an "all wrist" watch.

Yes, in the picture it is. In reality itโs 41mm.
I think the size is ok but you might be looking for something with a thicker case then if you want that physical presence
Here you go wifey, happy birthday!!!

Yeah I've been looking at this, especially since it was being sold used for a good price, but for that money I'd rather go with 4 seasons winter or spring tbh. Those 2 even tho they are 40mm they feel like 38.5mm.

Thanks for your opinion ๐, tbh I love how thin it is (same as my sbgx065), but maybe the titanium in combination with smaller size and more empty dial threw me off ๐ค

Ngl, was thinking the same thing about the power reserve. Love how the big snowflake looks! However unfortunately it's too big for me ๐ฅฒ.

Whatโs your wrist size?
Whatโs your wrist size?
Approx. 6.5". But used to wearing watches under 40mm.
Same as me, then.
Depends on the surface area the watch will sit on, though.
The Snowflake is also my biggest watch.
I like the new size options coming from Seiko, so as to give people more optionsโฆbut probably would go with 39 and 40mm when given the choice.
Iโm a 6inch / 15cm wrist, but dig the look of big dial / big style
