Which Watch would you get next?

I'll be honest, I have already decided on what my next piece will be, problem is I have to wait until next year until it will be available for purchase again. For now though, let's have a bit of fun! Out of all these watches that I have an eye for, which would you get next? Feel free to present your reasons in the comments! Next for me would be the U50. I only have one diver and want something on the more rugged end. Also seems versatile on straps/bracelets. I actually love it on rubber. It is on the sporty end, so it fits in well with my casual style.

Its a tool watch with very impressive specs.

Submarine steel with tegimented scratch resistant coating.

500m (50 bar) waterproof and pressure-resistant.

And at a comfortable 40 - 41mm case dimension.

Its all business and utilitarian, but for some reason I find its design all the more beautiful for it.

I’m clearly biased 🤙👻

Oh I'm aware of the specs. It is all that too but it is the sporty aesthetic on rubber especially that appeals to me. It's actually up next on my list.

·

Out of these 4, U50 all day.

·

I assume you are waiting on the Burbridge? After that it would depend on the rest of the collection The Sinn is a great single watch, whereas the CW, while awesome is more at home as part of a collection for me.

·

The Sinn U50 would be my pick. A German made quality diver. What's not to love.

·

That’s quite a variety of watches, you didn’t make it easy. My first impulse is the CW. I’ve already got a PRX that I love, but I suspect the CW is a better watch. And the Sinn is a great tool-watch-diver, can’t go wrong there. But somehow I think the Farer is the best choice. It’s doing it’s own thing in a very cool way. So yeah, I’m saying the Farer is best here, but of course you can’t go wrong.

·

Tough choice but having already a Farer I would go for the 12.

But that Farer is a work of art

·

Out of the watch on this list probably the PRX, I’d probably like the 40mm PRX more however.

·

Frankly, PRX.

Look, PRX is $700 (maybe even cheaper in grey market). The next up is C12 at $1.2k, almost doubled. Next is Farer at $1.6k (or something; it's prices in GBP). Finally, the Sinn is $3k+.

That's a lot of difference in prices. Yes, c12 is in all likelihood better than PRX. But is it twice as good? Is the Farer 3 times as good? Sinn isn't in the same price bracket; you can buy any other 2 and still pay less money for a Sinn.

I personally like the Farer the best, but at that price, you might spring for a Longines also. I think an annual calendar (that's like quasi-haute-horologie stuff right there) from Longines is around $2k in grey market. Justifying a SW2xx against such back drop is hard.

PRX, on the other hand, plays at much lower bracket. At that bracket, it's one of the best choices.

idk if its on your radar but have a look at the Nivada F77 if you like the twelve and PRX you might like it

The sinn. I’m feeling toolish lately. My partner would tell you I’ve always been toolish.

I’ve owned a 12 and a 35mm prx and they are just a bit blingy for me.

Farer is nice but I’d go for the darker blue.

I must admit I'm not familiar with the brand. Based on your picture, I see very strong Genta / Royal Oak design influences! Do tell me more?

the brand actually has some cool history and yes the design which dates back to 1977 is a modern reissue of that, quite similar to what tissot did with their PRX.

the brand itself also has some amazing offerings in the diving category but im mostly drawn towards the F77 and the Super Antarctic which is their exploration watch. most if not all of their stuff is highly vintage inspired.

its a genuine swiss brand with rich heritage, they had to step down during the quartz crisis like so many other brands but luckily theyre back and i like what they offer

·

Sinn head & shoulders above the others.

Second would be the Farer.

Not a fan of the Twelve, & can't stand the PRX - held one a few days ago and felt cheap and nasty 🤢

·

Absolutely love mine great size watch especially for a 500m diver

Great to know you can put your hand anywhere without fear of damage
