Greetings and Salutations fellow watch enthusiasts!
I'm very much into Science Fiction! I love Frank Herbert's Dune. I'm also into Warhammer 40K (just the lore and games, the minis are expensive and I'd prefer to save money for watches and good food), Star Wars (as obvious from my username and profile pic), Battlestar Galactica and many more.
One day I looked at my cheap Swatch watch (which has since been damaged and its not possible to repair), felt dissatisfied and thought to myself, "its time for you to get a more serious watch!"
It so happened that my good buddy was already into watch collecting, so he showed me a couple of his watches. I think I'm now effectively poisoned with the watch collecting bug.
My very first "serious watch" is a Junghans Max Bill Automatic! Love the minimalist Bauhaus dial and fonts, and that beautiful curved domed crystal!

Swatches are cool too. One day you might find a good use for them.
For example, some people use these tough, reliable GADA watches for #1wc challenge. Its a challenge where they have to wear one watch for a long duration of time. I’m currently in this challenge, and having lots of fun.
Should give it a try nexy year.
