So curious where people buy their watches. I would like to hear some good and trustworthy websites where I could find both new and used watches to add to my collection.

Long Island Watch
Gnomon Watch
Ashford Jewelers (gray market)
And I frequently browse Watchrecon for used watches.
chrono24 and I had a good experience using timepeaks (authentication and middle man for buyers outside Japan), usually better prices than ebay/chrono24

Great to know
I have had experience with long island, sakura, japanonline, jura.... even jomashop.
They are all decent, i cant remember which one from japan claimed they will check the bezel chapter ring alignments before shipping but i d like to say dont believe in that crap. Them seikos do come misaligned as usual 🤣
Ebay too, hmmmm, ebay can be problematic... Not to a point where i bought any fakes, but couple of times watches arrived in condition that requires servicing as its running out of spec quite a fair bit.
Check out CH Premier Jewelers or Watches of Switzerland. Great line for all Swiss, German or Japanese brands.
I've bought from and prefer: Mimos, Long Island Watch, Arc Watches and Sakura. My collection leans heavily towards Microbrands, so I usually buy directly through their websites. Traska, Marloe, Ventus, Serge Panchenko and Vario to name a few.
Like everyone, I've also bought from Amazon, Ebay, and Aliexpress. Usually for Casios. I prefer to avoid these sites if possible, though. I'd rather go through a reputable watch dealer.
i had a really good experience with CreationWatches lately.
Bougth a seiko snk809, great packaging en the watch runs perfect
UK based, so Watchshop, House of Watches, and Watcho. Also the brand's own website.
I tried another site recently for my Seiko 5 SRPD71K1 but the original was faulty (and possibly used?) and then had to wait quite a while for them to eventually replace it.
Hi i am a new watch to watch collecting. I like to buy my watches in a store so i can feel how The watch feels on The wrist. And I feel like its Hard to se if a watch i well made based on just pictures.
Amazon for new ones.
Ebay for new/used ones.
At least for the last few years due to what is happening to the world.
Before that it was the local store or so. I am still "window shopping" in a couple of stores that are in my small town and I am lucky to have some official dealers of Brands like Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Breitling.. That way I can at least see them up close. And of course the majority of German, Japanese and affordable swish brands are there. Almost no representation of Microbrands 😕
But never had the luck to see live a JLC or AP, PP, VC and so on..
I have my top 5 when it comes to buying Vintage Watches from a reputable dealer, here is my take on it:

Pre-owned from Chrono 24. Relatively mass market like Seiko I'd just comparison shop on prices and voucher codes from ADs on-line - it is surprising the price variation you can get. New is worth looking at some grey market dealers on Chrono for a discount on list (eg Watches World). However the latter clearly doesn't work on hyped watches
I'm in Australia and starbuy have some great deals.. watches direct are great too. And G-life and shock culture are great for G-shocks..
if you are into expanding your collection specifically with #vintagewatches you should consider (local) pawnshops! There are for instance, at least here in Poland, a couple large chains with a reasonably up-to-date online shop. I prefer pawnshops over private sellers as they do somewhat care about their reputation, so their photos and descriptions posted as as transparent as it gets!
You can't beat Amazon for a speedy delivery of a Casio. Try not to shop after a beer or two though or the next day you might have more than one turn up...thanks 'one-click Prime', thanks alot.
I browse watch recon daily! lately I have also made a few authenticated purchases from eBay and have been very satisfied.
Ebay like to find deals on used watches
