Not overly quirky from a design perspective, but definitely a bit unusual in terms of movement, is my Omega f300Hz with an electronic chronometer grade movement. The electronic movement provides for a super smooth sweep of the seconds hand, and similar to the Bulova Accutron, you can hear the hum when you put the watch close to your ear.
I also have a couple of watches with quirky designs, which I find really interesting:
I was lucky that I did not pay much for it otherwise I would have left it alone. You see people trying to sell these for $800+ and I would hate to see anyone get one. If you think some cheap quartz watches have alignment issues, this one is Bambi on Ice. Reset the chronograph (if you are lucky when you press the button - crunch *panic* ) and the hand might return to somewhere around the 12 o’clock mark.
Look at this movement:
It was not designed to be repaired, it was cheaply made so as to be replaced if it broke. I feel I need a tetanus shot every time I see this.
Man, you made me LOL, what a movement, it makes Vostok calibers look like a Dufour 😂

I do not wear it much, for fear of catastrophic failure. Probably the watch I wear the least, the literal once per year watch, usually to show someone. I never touch the chronograph any more. And yet… I do love her so much. It’s a very interesting episode in the Heuer history, when they tried to mass-produce a racing watch about 15 years before the Formula 1.
I would only sell it to someone who really understands what they are getting into, who loves it more than me… so never.
My treasure is an old Caravalle from an uncle that passed. Cheap 70s gold looking thing entirely worthless to anyone else and does not work. I love it like i loved the man.
Nice Doxa! Mine would be the Citizen Leopard. 1973.

Is it quirky enough?

Titoni Race King Chronograph (1971) on original signed bracelet (just barely made it on the wrist)
What a cool watch! I gives me vibes of the Breitling "Zorro"

This is my Omega Dynamic.
Wow, is it a true compressor? Great watch!
yes yes, true compressor-before it was cool thing to imitate supercompressor look
This should fit the thread :-)
Forgot I had this still, Oris Star ChronOris. Not quite as cool as an Heuer, but it’s in the right area. Runs really well, mechanical movement.

Wow! Such a cool piece!!
My (maybe not so) quirky 70's square Omega Geneve.

1971 seiko El370 was my 1st vintage, she still running strong :)
I don’t have one to share. Just wanted to note that you have a beautiful Doxa! I’ve never seen that before. Quirky but beautiful.
