Where do you Stand?

I like the look of Tudor watches but found myself uncertain about the hour hand. To me it just looks too much like a big ugly club. I asked around and my brother hates it and says it looks like an oil Derrick. My wife hates it also. So where do you stand? Do you love it or hate it? Or maybe you are indifferent?

It’s part of its charm. I’d take exception with the fake rivets on the links before anything else

·

The first time I saw Snowflake hands, I thought they were a bit weird. I've grown to love them over time, though. I definitely prefer them over Mercedes hands.

·

I like it, I just wish the BB58/54 had a date...

·

Nope. It looks like a traffic sign was uprooted & put on the dial.

I'll never own a watch with one.

·

It's a Tudor thing. I personally like it. My wife doesn't. But I'm the one who's going to wear it so 🤷‍♂

·

I don’t mind it but I don’t like the fake rivets on the bracelet and the lack of a date complication to

·

Looks great to me - even better when used in tandem with the Pelagos style block indexes, imo. I have a 58 and love it. 👍

·

Can't stand it. Same with the Mercedes handset and the arrows on Omega.

·

I have accepted it, and that will never change.

The bracelet is a no go for me though.

Why do they call it a snowflake hand? It looks nothing like it!

Still a nice watch though!

·

I think it gives them a certain personality, but I think it works better on some of their models than others somehow

·

Looks great to me 👍🏻

·

I love the hands. It's what makes it a Tudor.

·

I LOVE THE SNOWFLAKE HANDS

·

I never had an issue with snowflake hands when I owned the BB but always felt it belonged on the Pelagos better than the BB58. My girlfriend didn't like it either and said there is a mish mash of shapes on the dial and called it dumb when I said it is called snowflake. But for me it somehow worked to be not bothered but I seriously hated the bracelet on the BB58, the faux rivets and the impossible to find fit.

·

Love the snowflake hands, absolutely hate round indices 🤢 just clash so badly - if only they'd used square ones like the Pelegos!!

·

The crap bracelet does my head in. Blingy bollocks.

·

Middle managers watch, reeks of newly promoted earpiece wearing important phonecall types.

·

But I like the snowflake.

Orrrrrrr,,,less is actually not a lot 😉

I see you agree with Robert Venturi; "Less is a bore!"

Gotta' love rival architects! 🤣

I actually prefer simpler watches. Ive said on another post my grail is a GS, simple, crisp, excellent. If you want a bullet proof watch that'll ladt you a lifetime then no doubt the Tudor is a good choice, but theres a thousand Seiko's that'll do the same thing for a lot less. It all comes down to taste doesn't it. Some say potato others say potaato 😉

Whatever. 😀 It was just a joke.

It’s iconic for Tudor.

Snow shovel hand?

Hmm you could be onto something there. 😀

·

Don't love the snow flake myself but the tudor ranger is a great looking watch.

·

I think it’s part of tudors identity I live em!

·

Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I think it's a little to big, like 15% smaller and it's perfect

·

Went to a local AD to try this on. Was very impressed. But more impressed with Longines spirit 40 no date titanium & its symmetry.

·

I did not initially but now I love it.

·

Never thought of the hour hand as an issue.

Upon reflection though, the fact that it irritates the Tudor haters, makes me like it lol
