After seeing a post by @Aurelian on Welsbro, I ran across this military Welsbro on ebay and snapped it up! Should be here early next week.

I have the Addiesdive on a leather strap, which I bought out of morbid curiosity. Aside from being a great value, it's just nearly done, and I enjoy wearing it. I'm sure you will, too.

It just kept screaming out to me. So many reviewers described it as “confused,” but I just don’t see the problem. Once I could find it for less than $100, I jumped. I ordered a tropical rubber strap at the same time (not a bracelet guy).

People will think I’m nuts, but this thing, to me, gives off Longines Spirit Zulu Time energy, and I bet your leather strap just adds to that!

Well, it doesn't quite know if it's a diver or a field watch. But the colors match rather well, and both the bezel insert and the case are rather nicely done, the lettering and the texture of the dial is also above what I would have expected.

Right, from a color pallet and the arabic numerals it may remind you of a Longines Spirit Zulu, even though the dial of the Longines has a whole lot more depth to it, and that would only be the beginning.

You will see clear compromises on the Addiesdive, for example the leather strap feels rather odd, the NH35 is inexpensive, the hands are standard Ali-parts, but they didn't skimp on the case finish and the dial. It further came in a nice hard-shell case that I used more than once while traveling.

This reminds me, I did a review not too long ago.

But talking about incoming...

a) Four sets of hands

b) 10 watch stems

c) One bezel insert

d) One black dive case

I always need watch hands, but the crown/crown tube treads of this inexpensive case (see below) gave out. The were questionable from the beginning.

So, the dial and the movement will get a new home.

I just got a new set of headphones so I am holding off on big ticket purchases for a bit. But I am still looking at getting a new diver soon.

I had actually read your review during the period where I was trying to talk myself out of buying the thing. It was excellent, and I thank you.

Don’t worry, I’m not confused about what this thing is or isn’t. As for “diver or pilot,” I’m neither, so I’m ok if the watch is a half-assed stab at being both. As for my mention of Longines energy, don’t worry there either: I am not trying to fool anyone except myself until I inevitably succumb to my craving for the only GMT in the world that speaks to me at all.

Should be arriving in the next few days... 😀

Looked at those awhile ago..great watch!

I’m in a quandary on the Stowa. The rubber strap is way too long. I’m not sure I want to cut it because a) I’m not sure I like it enough to wear it and b) I’m pretty sure I’m going to butcher it if I try to cut it.

I have other 22mm straps but I don’t have the tools or the skill to unscrew the double screw down attachment to the lugs. I’ll have to hit up my local repair guy to change the strap without damage.

Finally replaced the SKX009 I stupidly sold a few years ago and ordered an Uncle Jubilee bracelet to go with. Now it's a race to see which arrives first.
