Personally I tend to gravitate to brands with history and significant achievements in innovation witch prestige usually fallows, but I don't follow brands prestige for the sake of the name itself. Material quality and craftsmanship certainly has its value but at the end of the day a 50,000 dollar Rolex will never have the accuracy of a 10 dollar Casio.
If I where to pick any I would go with either Laco or IWC but as for what I have that would be the Muhle arosport.
I am not sure what is funner, the fact that these exist in the first place or the fact that he has a watch box to keep them in.
