You tell me

Am I getting there or am I off track? Should the white Speedy be my next?

Depends. Do you want to do you, or do you want to follow the crowd?

·

Well, sure if you genuinely want it. But maybe there’s another watch that was/is actually driving you mad with desire?

·

Ain't no track - do you like and enjoy what you have collected and wear? If yes, then carry on!

As far as White Speedy, removing hype, is this something you would definitely want to collect - and soon?

·

Well….what is the “track?”

It’s a nice collection for sure.

·

The white speedy needs to be seen in the metal. So much better than the photos online.

That’s an awesome collection you got there.

·

I dont believe there is such a thing as off track in a hobby about personal enjoyment🤗

·

Maybe the Speedy or GMT?

·

Would look good beside the rest!

·

I'd ask yourself how often you're wearing what you have. Surely you aren't bonding with these watches already, even on a strict rotation? And yet you want to add more?

·

Only one rule: Buy what YOU love and can’t stop thinking about. Don’t worry about the hype or whatever the community is talking about. Like the Speedy? Try it on. Get a feel for it. Make sure it’s you talking and not the disembodied voice of Watch Crunch 😂 Not every collection needs a Speedy despite what the bozos on some other forums might think. That said, I echo the recommendations on this thread for something like a Reverso (or diff case shape).

Getting where? XD

·

I may be the wrong person to ask as this is how my track looks like

Great collection !

·

IMO this collection needs a Rolex steel sports watch

But our tastes seem a little different

Hi , I’m a local small business owner then owns a Lego-like building block company. We are relatively new and as a result of my expensive watch hobby, I feel that it would be pretty cool to have and purchase a building block watch. Currently on my site I am selling a “blockmariner” similar to a submariner made out of building blocks. The site is blokxme.com

Love the look of your Serica - how is it? Any good?

·

No collection is off track! Just enjoy what you like!

·

It makes sense to get the semester with how the collection is looking it would complete the collection👌

·

Side tracked how?

Did you plan / anticipate to buy something else next and this would be jumping the que? That what you mean? Or are you worried that your collection lacks focus?

If it's the latter I wouldn't worry (providing you value every watch you own).

It's an interesting question though.

I'm quite methodical in how I collect. I'll normally contemplate my next purchase for at least 3 months (as a way of making sure it's not lust or a fleeting attraction). But you could argue that being so … measured kills some of the passion.

I'm a big fan of the current Speedie - that bracelet is Rolex level good imo and the white dial is so well executed and it's sort after so even if you owned it short term and move it on I wouldn't imagine the price of admission being that high.

That said I do think that waiting until you're absolutely sure before buying leads to owning watches that you connect with and enjoy more.

My 2¢ worth anyway.

Loving that Aqua Terra 🥹

Given the information here, you and only you can answer that question. Sorry🫤

I do like it as a beater. This is the model year before they started COSC certified watches. Also have their first model, a 4512 (I think) with the Cali dial. Give that to my son. Probably won’t buy anymore from them but I do recommend.

Definitely getting to the point where I think this is “close” to the right number. But I wear 2 watches a day. My Tudor 1926 I wear to work everyday, then when I get home I change to another. I try to wear one at least every week. But the DateJust is recent so it’s been getting a lot of wrist time.

Tried it on a few weeks ago. Metal is definitely better for me.

Enjoying that Panerai?

I do like it, always wanted a Panerai. Manual wind, was reasonably priced, and actually sits great on my wrist.

Same here. Went also for the same model for the same reason :)

Something about that chocolate dial.

Yes you already have an splendid collection and a white speedmaster is a must have and would really decorate your collection
