I’ve got a problem.

My first post on here so hope it doesn’t bore.

I thought my first post should be my khaki problem, I love them. I have more expensive watches, dive watches and other field watches but I tend to put on a hammy. They are just so easy to wear. The thinness the easy to read and light on the wrist.

My main problem is I’m at the stage where I think I should get all the 38mm hand wound models or is that just a silly idea?

I see no problems and welcome

Why Not!

Welcome Cruncher 🔥

·

When my son was 4yo he wanted everything pink.. couple of years later he grew out of it. Don’t worry you will grow out of it too.

·

Welcome to the group.

Collect and wear what you like. I have the one on the right with the green NATO strap. Love it.

·

Yes, get all the 38mm hand wound! Why not???

·

That's a good problem. Do what makes you happy.

·

I’m really thinking Hamilton will be my next watch. Down the line of course since I just started. But they have a very classic look to them and the history is intriguing. I don’t think you have a problem, I think you have a PLAN moving forward lol 😂

·

Do whatcha like. You can always sell ‘em later.

Welcome to WC.

Unfortunately it’s too far for me, no more growing for me. 🤦🏻

·

Welcome welcome. Looks like a good set of watches. If it’s what you like and what you wear, what’s the problem?

·

If you can afford it, why not... 😉

Ask my better half, she thinks I’m mental, haha.

·

It’s a zuludiver strap, I was never a fan of leather natos but this one’s thin enough to be soft and comfortable. 👌🏼

·

All of them? You jest...

·

No problems

I love the Seiko Willard, I've the Black one and Green & I'd like to get the other variations too.

Actually prefer them to my Omega's 😱

·

Great watch. Might’ve to get my bead blasted a bronze friend now, thanks!

·

Buy all the Hamilton’s. If Hamilton was a micro brand, their designs would be the hottest topic going.

·

I am not a fan of bronze watches, but Hamilton is the exception to that. And I love the commercial they have for it. They talk about going out and earning your patina. As in wear your watches as the tools they are. It’s ad great ad.

Any way welcome to the crunch and great watches!

·

Welcome to the community! And yeah, feed the addiction! (I’m an enabler).

·

Welcome to the group but what problem are your referring to? 😜

Collecting them all was my initial goal, but I have to admit when Hamilton started to make so many variations I got a bit tired. I think I am missing the PVD, Earth, Bronze and there was a black dialed with date as well but I think that's discontinued and the 42mm versions don't do it for me.

If I see the other versions on forums for a good price I may jump on another one but I think I've got my field watches covered.

Welcome - you dont have a problem... I've got 2 Hamiltons already - a 44mm KFA and a 42mm Murph - but really now want a 38mm white dial Khaki mechanical with olive NATO. Worried I am being repetitive, but hoping it's different enough.

·

Welcome! Why restrict to 38mm? unless of course that defines what you like.

I have my own eccentricities…. Preferences for dives watches 40 mm to 44mm. I do like field watches but haven’t gone down that route (yet)

·

If I’ve learned anything in my brief tenure it’s buy what you love and wear what you buy. Go for it, man.

·

You can never go wrong with a Hammy...

If it's the watch you love then by all means...go for it.

Lots of Khakis to choose from.

·

You know, if you are not interested in any other watches, just buy them. I am also a big sneaker fan and I know collectors that just collect one model in different colourways. So just do what you like !

·

Love Hamilton. It was my go to brand when I first got into collecting serious ($$$) watches. While 38 mm might be a wee bit small for me, if you like it, go for it! Collections really need a diversity of movement types imho so if you don't have a straight mechanical, do it!

One of these days I'll get around to Spring Drive.

·

I don’t see a problem with collecting different versions of the same watch. 🤪

I mean, you’re so close anyway, so why not?

If this was women, my buddies and I would just say, “He clearly has a type.” Why not watches too? haha

I think it’s thought of badly if you collect women? Haha

Not a silly idea at all! I have two and am keen to get the white dial also :)
