There is some record keeping on how much I spend on a watch vs how much she gets to spend on a purse… followed by a healthy debate about (some) watches being assets with little or no depreciation whereas (some) handbags are never salable after use.
Hasn’t worked yet but still trying!
I also seem incapable of remembering a date for the life of me… so I’m a “Date always” if I can.
Don’t have a date on one of my regular wears, and it kills me haha.
Do you need a date underwater? No, but by that logic you don’t even really need the time of day either… just a stopwatch would work…
I had an MVMT from my early twenties like someone mentioned above, and hadn’t worn it for years and didn’t want to replace the battery.
Listed and sold for $20 on Facebook marketplace in a couple days. Put it on my porch in the morning, get the $20 from under the mat in the afternoon.
Not that $20 is going to get me to retire early, but now someone else enjoying it and I’m not feeling guilty looking at it in my watch case anymore
