NWR - New Watch Returned
Hate to do it, but decided to send this Oris Big Crown Pointer Bronze back. Wasn’t an impulse buy - had been researching for a while and felt ready - which almost makes it worse. Was also looking for replacing my Tudor heritage bronze - which I felt recently is a little big and increasingly realizing I need a date function…
I had viewed a different big crown in person before - but had never tried one on… famous last words and lesson learned you can say.
Any new watch you want to be over the moon, but just wasnt feeling this one. Not gonna rag on the watch, still think it’s pretty cool, just not for me and not an improvement over the Tudor.
Will just try harder to remember the todays date on my own 😂. That’s what return policies are for, right?
Side note - Chrono24 wasn’t bad to use for this purchase and return, and I love the interface in the app for researching watches, but after selling another watch on eBay recently that interface for transactions is (unsurprisingly) much cleaner.
Watches and golf… the most frugal of hobbies 😂
