Rose Gold Bezel with a clean face

Seen this email today and like almost always got excited. I have flirted with the idea of buying a CW piece, and even tried to go to their showroom while I was on a business trip in London earlier this year. I think this new version of the twelve will be even more tempting albeit more expensive then the titanium one that I have lusted over since seeing a coworker with one. This twelve seems to check alot of boxes for those looking for more of a sports watch that can be worn in dressy situations. The clean dial and precious metal certainly lends a hand to a sports dress watch. what do you guys think?

SW200-1. Again and again. At that price point it is starting to be confusing to me.

Long time CW client, but not spending a dime more until theres a revision of their SH21 in some of their smaller offering.

CW going for the Moser & Cie look with this latest release. No numerals/indices & very similar style hands.

I think it's very elegant but not something I will be purchasing.

·

I like the clean look but I think this style looks better without any logo on the dial.

That's two releases back to back that miss the mark for my taste because of the use of rose gold. Two-tone watches are not for me. I was so close to buying a reduced Twelve before noticing the rose indices instead of silver. 😢

More movado than moser

Which is why it’ll be a pass from me.

I think it looks better with the black dial on the black strap but, even as a CW fan, this is not the sport/dress watch I would go for.

·

After the PRX jumping the shark with the release of the digital atrocity I wouldn’t have thought that CW would jump it so soon with The Twelve…

·

Dress watch dial on an integrated bracelet just makes me feel weird.

Not for me, even though I'm all for two-tone.

Maybe if they do a strap option....

·

I like CW, but don't like the looks of this. Something looks off, accentuating the not-so-great logo on the plain dial. Quality materials and build no doubt, but looks like a cheap fashion watch; but each to their own, and I'm probably not the consumer segment they are targeting with this one.

I don't think that movement fits inside the smaller cases though? It would need to be a new in house movement. But I'm with you, I dislike the SW-200 in higher priced watches if nothing else then for its thickness.

Yep that's why I said 'revision', as the current one only fits 42mm models (perhaps 41, too?) and I heard a while back that a v.2 was in dvt. But that takes time I guess.

All I know is that, given CW direction in their catalog in the past 18 months, any in house calibre WILL have to fit most of their current sub 40mm offering, the way Tudor does it, for instance.

I’ma fan of CW in general but the one is so not for me.. the movement needs to be overhauled. Seen a lot more advertising for CW watches, and hence the prices are increasing too lol.

I would really like that. I hope you are correct that a new in house movement will be smaller and fit more watches. They did indeed start making much more smaller models as well so it would make sense!

Reminds me of Movado.

I get why some like it but its not for me

while i admire christopher ward, this model doesn't attract me. It is gorgeous to look at but quite useless in it's primary basic function- tell the time. With no indexes or minute markers, i would always have to guestimate what time it is. Not fun for me. Could be used as a watch themed piece of jewelry i guess. Enjoy it if you get one ☺️
