I have experienced similar with my Seikos. Having recently replaced the pawl lever on one of them and my Kinetic not taking a full charge, I removed the backs and put them in backwards. Then I could see the rotors moving as they should.

Turns out I don't do enough activity to keep the auto going and the capacitor in the kinetic was on its was out.
