Even a broken clock...

Just out of hospital where I spent the latter part in this room with nothing but a broken clock to look at. Time in hospital moves at a glacial pace and not helped by always looking at a time piece that continuously reads 4:03.

However, on two separate occasions (firstly with the visiting spouse and the following day with a nurse) while discussing events and plans I said "don't bother looking at the clock it doesn't work. Well okay, it's the right time now oddly enough but it's broken."

TWICE!!!

Thankfully I had my little Timex sprite to satisfy my horological needs.

Like a famous watch joke about broken watch showing the right time twice a day

Nothing to look at but a broken clock?  That's brutal, hope you're feeling better.

·

Oh man that sucks!! Fell better dude!! lol at your cute toes ies …😉

·

Hope you're feeling better! What an incredible horological machine you had in your room... Did it say MB&F on the dial?

·

This is the sort of thing that worries me, because people that lack the resourcefulness or initiative to swap out a singe AA battery really can't be trusted with anything at all. Unless it was so high that it couldn't be reached by standing on a chair. I was stuck with somewhere with two wall clocks that were still on daylight saving time, and it pained me not to be able to grab them and set the right time.

Get well soon! Hope this anecdote will be one you'll smile about when you randomly check your watch and it's 4:03 😀

·

Sounds less like a hospital and more like a torture place. If you start smiling when you see 4:03 on your watch or phone. They have got into your brain. you are now a Manchurian Candidate

The joys of socialized medicine.

I hope your doctor was as right as often as the clock...

Hope you’re feeling better soon, you got a gang of Crunchers wishing you a speedy recovery.

·

Probably better its brocken rather than listen to the tick(some of them are damn loud) that would drive me mad. Glad your out and wish you a good recovery.

·

Recover quickly so you can get out of that dreary looking place.

Thanks for all the good wishes you lovely people. I'm at home and resting up for the next six weeks.

The time is now 4:03.
