Let the Journey begin!

New to watches! My first watch box came in today! Looks like I have some spaces to fill! What’s your next watch? What’s your holy grail? For me, I either want a Grand Seiko Snowflake, or a Omega Speedmaster! However a Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 and a Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium are in the nearer future for me

The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing Man that he really, really needs that one Omega Seamaster 300 he saw on Hodinkee.

It’s too late for some of us wretched souls, but you’ve still got time to turn it all around before the watch demons get their hooks fully into you. Run! Run for your life!

Jokes aside, welcome to the hobby.

Welcome to the hobby which will suck your soul and money! My recommendation is get a G Shock, diver and a field watch. Hamilton and Tissot are good brands to get into the entry level luxury watch making . To be honest the PRX is not for me. There is cheaper integrated bracelet alternatives for sure and of course there is way more expensive too, which offers the same but somehow the PRX looks very boring to me...

Welcome to the Crunch!

My Grail is also a Speedy. Gonna be a 20th anniversary watch.

Good start! Have a great journey! :)

So you started with the Tag and worked your way up to the F91. Good man.

Good luck on your quest.

Haha that’s funny you say that because the same happens to me 😅. Even last night I was like ooo I want that one next, then I see the price 😅

Welcome. For me I went with a lot of citizens and a couple Seikos the first year. The price to quality ratio on Japanese lines are pretty awesome. Now I’m at the point where I’m looking for my first Swiss watch and I’m down to a Hamilton or a Christopher Ward. (Leaning towards CW because they’re doing a lot of interesting things.)

Welcome and Godspeed, it’s gonna be a wild ride!
