Suggestions for a new strap for my Seamaster

Am thinking of swapping out the bracelet for a change. Would love suggestions/pictures of what I should change to.

Bond NATO, to live our superspy fantasies

If you like the Bond look but don't like NATO straps, this is a perfect alternative;

The above is a Christopher Ward Black/Grey Tide strap. A normal 2 piece strap with buckle.

That does look cool!

Dive watches should be adorned with rubber!

Nice black one or a nice bright colour to really show that omega off 👍🏻

·

I agree! Dive watch pairing with a rubber, steel bracelet or even Nato is acceptable. But a leather strap is not good. Unless it’s a vintage watch like a 5513 that will no longer see action or in the front line.

·

1x bracelet,1 X Rubber, 1x NATO and 1 X leather is the minimum amount of straps required per dive watch 😉

Thank you. I'm not a big fan of NATO straps, so when CW released this Tide strap I had to get it. It's a good bit more expensive than a good NATO but it's a quality strap.

·

I've got no clever strap idea; just wanted to say that this is a lovely watch!

·

A bond-type nylon Nato would be an option, or a vintage-type leather one with its topstitching.

I would suggest to keep it on bracelet but change the style and make sure you get the rounded end links

I’ve been looking for a strap for this one also. My preference is for something on a deployant. The oem leather is nice but no deployant. I know that Artem makes one but I had one for my Speedy and it was just OK. Rubber B is just too much of a strap and no deployment. Wish Zelande made one. I like them. So any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Planet Ocean 21mm lug width rubber straps work well with the Seamaster 300. When I owned it, I would often put it on the rubber straps!

Only comes in black. No go for me with the blue dial

Thanks for the suggestion. I do love the current bracelet. Maybe the photo didn’t show it but it fits pretty well on the wrist.

Mine is either on a beige nato or omega mesh. The mesh is spendy but it’s the most comfortable bracelet I’ve ever worn. You need a minimum 7 inch wrist though.

That mesh looks beautiful! I looked on the omega site and saw it was quite pricy. Good tip on the wrist size though. I’m a bit under 7 inch wrist so may not work.

Do you have a picture? Good suggestion!

I don’t have an omega but several rubber straps

Top to bottom

CW Hybrid rubber with buckle

Barton rubber contrast with buckle

Black Rubber with clasp

Breitling rubber with clasp

Oyster flex style with clasp

They say as much on the website. It’s either 6.75 or 7 I don’t remember but what Omega says is true. Under that size and it just won’t fit right. It is pricy but you really get what you pay for in this instance.

That said your 300 in black is an absolute strap monster. I just picked up a new single pass nato for my speedy on Crown and Buckle. A bit more expensive than Amazon but dramatically higher quality. Worth checking out.

Rubber B, Artem , Erika’s MN straps , the holy trinity:)

·

I find it a pretty versatile piece. Previous version but you get the gist.

My NATO of choice are Watchgecko/Zuludiver, less bulky hardware than my Omega Bond (no pic coz we all know what it looks like) & most critical for me a sewn in buckle (ie mil-spec or proper NATO).

First one I call "What Connery should have worn"

"No Time to Spectre"

This one is a lovely combo, really gives off vintage vibes. It's a Staib tapering Milanese.

Image

Also got a Colareb alcantara strap in a honey brown colour that looks great and a black sailcloth for if I want to dress it up, but I'm not the smartest of chaps so it's usually one of the above. Had it back on the stock bracelet for a week or two & enjoying the bling for a change.

Lovely Omega mate, hope the above pics give you a rough idea. 🖖🏻

Wow thank you so much for the reply. All three look amazing! And thanks for the recommendations of where to go to get them. I think it will be a choice/get both of the NTTD and the Milanese. Or maybe all three.

Sorry one other question. Is your one 21mm lugs? Just looked on the watch gecko site and they don’t have a 21mm NTTD.

·

Mesh or NATO

·

I bought an OEM Omega strap foy my Speedy. To me, this strap would look fantastic on your watch. Striking against the contrasting colors. I love the detail of the white stitching too. No, not the cheapest option. But it does keep it all original Omega.

Yes 21mm lug width - 22mm straps fit fine tho 👍🏻👍🏻
