Mate, don't put yourself down like that. The price of a watch isn't important. What is important is that it keeps accurate time and makes you smile. You've put some thought into this purchase and obviously love the watch. Enjoy and wear it in good health!
My answer is that it depends. A Seiko or Miyota that's been well regulated can be just as good as an in house movement. A Seiko NH34 in a Seiko watch that hasn't been regulated, not so much.
The video's dropped, it's a Hamilton-style field watch. The price is good but the dial is way too busy. It'll be a hard pass for me.
