Suggestions on getting a limited edition Seiko?

I want one of the Seiko 5 Sports 55th anniversary PEANUTS Limited Editions. Their website says "Limited edition of 8,900 pieces" "June 2023"

I'm happy to pay full retail (whatever that is) and plan on checking the Seiko website daily for a chance to get one, but if anyone has any other suggestions or tips from experience buying a limited edition Seiko in the past, I'd appreciate it - thanks

(Note: I have about a dozen watches in my current rotation, I'm after this simply because I think it's "fun")

Hi

I bought a seiko shu iro Ltd edition last year it’s limited to 3500 pieces and is only available in Europe if you can get one it’s really nice. It also comes with two straps. Hope you get something that you want 🤞🏻

Did you buy it from the Seiko website? Another website? An AD?

Bought it from a uk national jeweller’s online

I bought a Seiko Bryan May for my son's birthday. He is a musician. Seiko releases a limited edition watch almost every day. If you like it, buy it. As you saw by the number of pieces, the LEs are quite large.

I would suggest going to an AD. It will be readily available there once the model is released and you may get a slight discount too.

This just might be my favorite Snoopy watch yet!

Maybe pre-order at Topper Jewelers in San Francisco? Give them a call and see what they say. (I noticed it on their website earlier today).

At 8,900 pieces, you'll probably have no issue picking this watch up, and can probably still get a discount too!

It can vary wildly from piece to piece. There are some watches, limited to a couple of thousand, which sell out very quickly, while others made in the same numbers hang around and around and around. There was a recent 55th Anniversary of Seiko 5 range, limited to 1968 watches for each design, and months later all of them are still available on the Australian Seiko boutique website - and I doubt we got a huge allotment to begin with. My point being, it can be a variable thing. Peanuts, as we all know, is very popular and the Timex models have sold well... so these watches will probably sell quite well BUT they have made tons of them. So they're certainly not "rare" and I'd be surprised if they disappeared quickly. But as always with stuff like this, if you want it, buy it - sooner rather than later, to avoid ANY potential disappointment.

PS: I posted about the Snoopy watches 2 weeks back - suffice to say I like the look of them myself.

It’s a cool watch! I love this one. Limited or not limited doesn’t really impact how much I like a watch 👍

·

Yeah, LTE of 8000+, the number of available piece is quite large. I would imagine you should be able to get it :)

It is a beauty for sure.

There are some LTE that is limited to 10 or 100 pieces. Those can be a little harder to get.

That thing is sweet, I love the fact that it comes with a NATO too.😎

Update: I picked it up from my AD (Sydel & Sydel in Chicago)
