Strap for Seagull 1963
I am very fond of this watch but I can't work out what other colour or sort of strap would go with it. I have put it back on its original khaki NATO but I would like a change. I know that, in the end, it is my choice what I wear on it but would welcome some suggestions. I am particularly fond of rubber straps, leather or fabric ones but I wouldn't rule out NATOS.

I have mine on a Colareb Venezia tobacco brown strap. I like it.
Every time I see this watch I realize I won’t be able to hold out much longer. So good looking and so cheap (relatively). and I think it looks good an pretty much any strap out there.
I use to wear mine when I had it on a brown horween leather strap. Great watch only reason I sold it is so get the 38mm one instead of the 40mm.

I usually wear mine with this black leather strap. Not usually a black strap fan but the stitching matches the dial well.
What about a steel bracelet?
Not sure if your’s has 18mm or 20mm lugs, but, if the latter, Norqain has a nice fabric strap to highlight the blue and red.

Personally, I’m a bit mystified about a NATO strap with an exhibition case back, though I do think khaki is a great color for keeping the gold numerals and indices from disappearing. I feel like an ideal strap would be khaki sailcloth with royal blue stitching, but I don’t know anyone who sells one

Thank you for those ideas, they are very helpful. I put mine on a navy rubber strap and I wasn't sure about it but navy looks good in your last photo and is making me think again...

I have been looking at the Horween straps. I am a great fan of Chromexel and have seen a brown strap that just might fit the bill.
Unpopular opinion, the original khaki is the best.
Cannot go wrong with a khaki NATO, just not the one they sent with the watch! A decent strap like a SniperBay will really change the wrist feel
Making the straps myself i'm more on leather, those are three of the straps i use on my own seagull! A super simple zulu, a weird two tone bund and a classy red cordovan strap! I think that if you have the 38mm version a bund wouldn't be too bulky, also the wide space between the case and the springbars allows you to go wild with NATOs!

Yes, I was quite surprised by navy leather strap combo myself. I think blue hands of the watch makes it work nicely. I have a red leather strap coming from Aliexpress, eager to try it out - even though based on my nato strap experience from Aliexpress, I already have trepidations about the quality.

I think you are right about the color. Like I posted earlier, I just wanted to experiment a bit.

Yes, I was quite surprised by navy leather strap combo myself. I think blue hands of the watch makes it work nicely. I have a red leather strap coming from Aliexpress, eager to try it out - even though based on my nato strap experience from Aliexpress, I already have trepidations about the quality.
I am also tempted to try a red strap on it. I might just get a cheap one on Amazon to see what one might look like and then do an upgrade if it looks good.
Matte finish, oiled, dark brown. Maybe with accent stitching like Vintage style.
I have mine on a cheap MN strap from Amazon, it's comfortable but cheap.
I saw this picture online and thought it looked pretty sharp.
The HK Ed version came with a beautiful brown leather strap, but I wanted something more like the khaki NATO, so I went with this canvas / leather combo.
For mine I simply bought a nicer NATO from Watch Gecko.
I've put on a tan leather strap on mine and lovin it. Planning to get a blue leather strap next to match with the blue hands.
