7 watch collection... Anyone?

I've been trying to get down to a core collection, in the process I found that each watch evokes a feeling just like each day of the week. So let's play a game...

Only 7? Impossible!

For you, it will always and ever be...

By the way, noticed that you don't include the GS SLGA007 Lake Suwa in your 7-day collection. Having owned it for a while, has it fallen out of favor now?

Only 7? Forever?

I sold it. Was too big on my baby wrist 🐥

Was trying to figure out what that cuff was…oh wait I got it

If you're a double wristing lunatic, do you get 14?

·

Yeah, trying to make a final decision on it. I think it makes the cut

·

I tried to keep my collection to 7 pieces. I failed.

·

I told myself that I would fill my first watch box up and then be done. That was almost a year ago and now I have 24 watches.

·

Loved the week days theme 👏🏻

·

I see I like this approach… 🥳🍻

Thanks 👍

·

I’m going a different watch for every day of the year…😂

·

I thought you’d gotten rid of the Panerai?

·

2 Omegas? You are addicted, lol.

@Max home from work and finally able to actually watch the video. As always, well done,I love the premise. First. props for addressing the piece we all know happens, paid reviews. It is a big reason I admire you as an enthusiast and your channel. Also, congrats on cracking 100k!

Second, you picked a solid 7 and I would pick many of the same.

Monday: Omega SMP 300 Nekton. I crap on the SMP a lot...a lot. And I stand by my criticisms. However, I still love the Nekton on the OEM rubber strap.

Tuesday: Cartier Santos (I know, sorry Speedy, already have one Omega on the list). My busiest meeting day of the year and one I am often dressed up for, it is a great under the watch dress/sport watch.

Wednesday: GS SBGJ259. Pure recency bias, but Wednesday needs a pick me up and it is hard to not appreciate the beauty of this dial.

Thursday: GO PanoMaticLunar. Another busy meeting day. I reserve the right to change my mind as I struggle with the idea of two green watches in a row, but it deserves a spot somewhere.

Friday: Formex Leggera. We are ready for the weekend, this starts to bring the fun and is a breeze to wear.

Saturday: OP 41. Bright colors and go with everything.

Sunday: Alpinist? I should have a Seiko on here right? I want to say Sub, but cannot copy your idea plus, see above.

Thankfully there are 358 more days to not have to be picky!

Just curious, when you sell your watches, is it clearly stated that it's you, watch internet famous Max, that is the seller? I wonder if there's a premium to own a warch that Max owned. I think it would be cool to say that my Lake Suwa came from you. I'd pay a small premium for that knowledge.

I would like to have a mere 3 piece collection if I could. A gold Grand Seiko quartz, a Titanium GPS Solar Casio Oceanus and a stainless steel white dial Seiko Presage automatic dress watch. I own all three but also have 3 other watches I received as gifts and about 6 others I bought over the years. 'Tis a great goal to aspire to but might take a good while to achieve...

·

By 2025 I will have only 10 watches, and they will be my forever watches... 🤥🤞

·

Okay so 7 + 3 good clean fun one's. 10 Watch Collection Anyone?🤣

Tell me you still have the Ritz? 11

Thank you for the kind words my friend. I felt like I needed to clear the air about paid reviews after seeing some recent posts here 👍

You are a good man. Way too many people love being confidently wrong on how youtube channels, business, etc works. There is absolutely nothing wrong with folks whose only source of income is YouTube, congrats on them for finding a way to monetize their hobby. However, there is a big difference in that content vs. those that get to pick and choose what watches they cover from their collection or those borrowed because they have the freedom to cover what they genuinely enjoy.

It's an unattainable aspiration

Unemployment will fix that up

·

7 Per day might work ..

·

I love that you slightly modified your Seiko Alpinist to what you think it should've been. So out of curiosity Max, where did you go to find pieces for your Seikos? I have a Seiko from the Sharp Edge series with the red dial and in my mind it SHOULD'VE had a gold seconds hand like Green Version. But I can't seem to find that exact version of the seconds hand in gold 😆

·

I bought a 12 watches box telling myself to commit to 12 pieces max. So fa so good.

·

Love the Collection but my collection is mostly Vintage.
