SOTC Update

A while after my first SOTC, my collection has changed a bit. Added a few and took out one of my orients (which I am now messing with the movement)

I first saw this watch around when it was first released. When I saw it, I knew I had to get it. So after I got some money, I contemplated for a while...

Second hand at 12 when setting time?

Alright, I can’t be the only one that does this. It’s not so much an “OCD” thing, but does anyone else wait until the second hand is at the 12 o’clock...

This is a tough vote because I think it varies based on what you’re going for. I you want a cheap but reliable beater/daily, Casio. If you want a nice dress watch on a budget, Seiko. Of course there’s more to it, but that’s just what I think.

That’s actually pretty incredible.

I think for looks, hand wound typically looks better, but automatic is just more practical.

I don’t have too much “watch stuff” yet, but what I have goes in my jewelry drawer in my watch box. I have a tool kit that doesn’t go in there, but in the drawer are a couple straps, links, spring bars, and a few other tools. So far so good. I don’t imagine I’ll need extra storage soon.

I say powermatic because I would prefer an automatic movement over a quartz one. And you also get the waffle dial with the powermatic 80 movement. I don't have one yet, but I’m betting my next watch will be a PRX glacier, blue, or black waffle dial.

commented on Do you guys have a dedicated gym watch? ·

When I go to the gym, I typically wear my Casio DW291H, although I’ve got a Garmin for the gym I don’t often wear. I just like the big numbers and I usually just use the chronograph to time my breaks in between sets.

I’ve seen a couple of these tournament posts, and this is by far the hardest one
