SOTC Update

A while after my first SOTC, my collection has changed a bit. Added a few and took out one of my orients (which I am now messing with the movement)

The SSK is pretty great

I first saw this watch around when it was first released. When I saw it, I knew I had to get it. So after I got some money, I contemplated for a while...

Second hand at 12 when setting time?

Alright, I can’t be the only one that does this. It’s not so much an “OCD” thing, but does anyone else wait until the second hand is at the 12 o’clock...

Me over here with my 18 watch collection. I have felt a similar way before, though. That I’ve got too many watches and several that I hardly wear. I’ve contemplated liquidating my collection a bit and only keeping watches I actually wear. And then use the money from selling the watches I don’t wear to buy another watch or two that I would actually wear. (That’s a lot of “wear”)

I must say I use a timing bezel more than I use a chronograph

I like the Oris Pointer Date, but if we’re talking JUST aviation, I gotta go with the Oris Propilot X Caliber 400

I usually pick one watch and stick with it. But if it’s a Friday, I usually switch to my Seiko SSK001 or my Breitling Superocean Heritage after school, regardless of what I’m doing for the evening.

I guess for this specific watch, solid gold. But if it were the black dial submariner or black dial sky dweller, then I gotta go with two tone.

I guess my grail right now is the omega speedmaster sapphire sandwich. But if having that means I can’t visit family and go other places, I’ll stick with my Seiko SSK001.

I think sub $1k is considered budget, so yes. But budget could mean different things to different people, but at least I think sub $1k is widely considered budget.
