Back in black
The minute this was announced I contacted the (only) AD In Norway to reserve one of these.
I was lucky enough to get one of the first batch to arrive here thanks to someone else turning it down - why would you?
This was great timing as I’m defending my PhD next week, and this one will join for that occasion.
I was not going to use it before then, the the strap needs a bit of softening before then. Good excuse to try it out for a bit.
First impressions are fantastic, it‘s a classic tank, but with a deep, deep, black dial.

That is beautiful. I saw that online and was intrigued.
I still don’t think anything tops the classic cartier (white dial, Roman numeral) aesthetic. But I love it when they change it up as well.
