Always loved watches but put off going really into them until financially stable. With 2 kids and a single income, that took a while. Managed to get some nice pieces at AD or grey market at decent prices before things went crazy. Alternated between Seiko’s and a g-shock most of my adult life before taking the plunge into luxury 5 years ago. Pretty boring tastes preferring classic designs and have been a fan of 2 tone since being a teen in the 80s.

No one has a crystal ball, but I would wager that in 12 months, the situation will be very different. Stick the money you planned to spend on the watch in a fixed deposit or some other absolutely safe investment, and in 12 months you might have a chance to buy the watch and use the interest for a beer or 2. Or offset the price increase at the AD if that happens ...

Yes, I am aware that Omega makes better watches at that price. I just wish they could make them less than 12mm thick.
