I totally see your point, thing like this bother me too. However it is unfortunately more common with watches sub $1,000, although it absolutely happens even with luxury grade watches.
I once bought a Vaer brand new that had a spec of dry paint hanging off the tip of the second hand. The brand reimbursed me $100 if I chose to keep it. At first it really bothers me but I decided to keep it and now I sort of value the watch for being a bit unique. Just a perspective to consider. Still, your frustration is valid. Perhaps only buying in person or with an excellent return policy is the only solution. You can get watches that have no manufacturing defects.
(One last note - even my omega SMP bezel was slightly mis aligned, I mean ever so slightly. The manufacturer told me it’s common with divers because even if it’s perfect, after twisting it, sometimes it will just become misaligned by nature. I learned to live with it)
